Q: The drip overflows the pot how can that be adjusted?

You have to calibrate the pot level. The instructions to do that are in the manual. If you don't have the manual any longer message back & I'll see if I can find ours

Q: Is a water line hookup required? Can you pour water in at the top?

The water line is required on this model there is no pour spot

Q: Is filter holder included?

The filter holder basket was included... no filters though

Q: what water line do I use for this?

You are going to need a flared copper fitting to attach to the back of the coffee maker. It would be wise to hire a plumber or handyman. We were able to connect ours to a filtered water machine and it works quite well.
