Simply Awesome!!!
I have had an ongoing issue with my inbuilt Network Adaptor and had previously purchased another product via Amazon which was similar to this one (all I can tell you is the other pluggable adaptor was blue 2.0 usb 10/100) . I probably shouldn't say it was similar as it ended up being slow as a dead snail even though the various sellers of the blue adaptor gave the impression it would handle anything up to 100mb when in reality its max was 12mb if you were really really lucky but usually maxed out at around 8mb. My max connection speed at the moment is around 38mb which is pretty good for the UK so I started searching for a better pluggable adaptor and was lucky enough to find this little beauty. I only have 2.0 USB ports but that wasn't a prob as all the 3.0 USB devices will still work in 2.0 ports (of course their capabilities are limited to 2.0 speeds) so getting a 3.0 devise would mean I was able to push the 2.0 port to it's max. Shortly after purchasing this Adaptor I received an email from the seller with the direct link to the drivers which I thought was really cool and ensured that when it arrived (which was in a matter of days), all I had to do was plug it in and I was set...no fuss whatsoever. The Adaptor worked the second it was plugged in and has done since the day it was installed. Zero drop-outs and consistently maintains an average speed of 34mb and at times even exceeds my expected max of 38mb. I noticed some people saying this adaptor was "quite big" or something like that It isn't!!..Its 6.5cm x 2cm which is a lot less chunky than the rubbish Blue one I unfortunately purchased. The USB connection is on a flexible wire which is a dang site better than the ones that rigidly plug straight into the USB port..which was a nightmare on my laptop. I don't make a habit of rambling on about things I buy off Amazon..but I can tell you straight, if you are looking for a Pluggable Network Adaptor which is reliable, consistent and no fuss..I would highly recommend this one with no hesitation at all. I don't know what it's max speed actually is, but it certainly works to my max...Awesome !!!!!

The best way to achieve hassle free gigabit speeds!
I recently upgraded to the Virginmedia 152mb internet package, but alas, my network card was not gigabit and I could only get D/L speeds of 100mb tops. So, after opting for the slightly more popular TeckNet® USB 3.0 to 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN Wired Network Adapter - and having to send it back after it packed up on day one - I decided to purchase this Plugable unit. Cracking piece of kit: Well made, proper clear English instruction (not that you need them). The company also sent me a web link to download the most recent drivers, which allowed me to plug and play as soon as the adapter arrived. I've been using this for a couple of days now and happily achieve D/L speeds in excess of 152mb. And it works fine after waking the unit from sleep / hibernation, etc. I would recommend purchasing one if you are looking for an easier way of attaining gigabit speeds without having to swap network cards.

I found that the WiFi on the Switch is pretty poor and that it was giving me much slower ...
This works perfectly with the Nintendo Switch. I found that the WiFi on the Switch is pretty poor and that it was giving me much slower speeds then it should be, even though my Nintendo Switch is in the same room as my router. So I bought this adapter to see if it makes an difference and it made a huge improvement I ran a connection test in the Switch's settings and the speed it shows when using its built in WiFi is around 13.4, but with an Ethernet cable the shows it as 77.3. So I'm very happy with the results. It is very easy to set up. The adapter was instantly recognised by the console after i plugged it into one of the USB ports on the switch's dock (i used the USB slot on the inside of the dock at the back as this is a USB 3.0 port) and then plugged an Ethernet cable into the adapter. There is a little cable logo that shows up at the top of the Switch main menu to show you that you are connected online via a wired connection and you're pretty much good to go from there.

Adapter good, USB 3 on some chipsets bad...
I feel like I have left a review for this already, anyway I've had it nearly a year now so... I have a Windows 2012R2 Hyper-V server based on a desktop board which only had one built in gigabit port. At the time it was in a MiniITX case and I didn't have space for a PCI card so I went for this. It seemed a bit better than the other Chinese no-name ones I looked at. It arrived on time in proper packaging and seemed reasonable quality for the price, no problems connecting it. Clearly this is a bit bulky (they all are) and will dangle out the back of a higher USB port on a tower case. I recommend using a lower port on a PC but this would work well on a laptop. Since I bought this I have upgraded my server to a MicroATX case and different board and this affects my opinion of the product. When I first used this with my ASROCK Z77 ITX (Ivy Bridge) board it was unreliable needed to be unplugged and re-plugged in, one or twice a week (24/7 system). That said, ALL the USB 3.0 connections on this board we're unreliable, my USB3 external drive also used to just disappear when it felt like it too. I tried different drivers with varying results. SO, with my new Gigabyte H97 (Haswell) board its been MUCH more reliable and given me no problems lately. So I guess certain combinations of boards and driver affect he performance of this, something to bear in mind. I use this in the Hyper-V switch manager to share with all the guests vms. On one 2012 guest vm I use NIC Teaming between this and the Realtek onboard port, it works great and the throughput it good. When I first got this I tested its individual (unteamed) performance directly in the host OS and found it to be slightly less than the onboard one and variable performance however it usually managed in excess of 40-50MB/s the windows file transfer dialog so I thought that seemed respectable, still beats 100Mbit performance. I have a gigabit router, switches and Cat6 cables to most things and often see 90MB/s in Windows file transfer between the server and desktop. I'd consider a PCI card with multiple ports as the USB 3 support seems a little "beta" on a few chipsets and boards with different peripherals. However, if USB3 is your only option like me I'd recommend this.

Fast and Linux Friendly
in my case, the background to my purchase was that I have recently bought an HP Ultra book which comes without a built-in ethernet port. I spent quite a long time wondering whether I could live without a wired network port before looking to see whether there were any ways round it and came across this adapter. As I intended to replace the Windows 8.1 install with Linux, it was important that it would be able to support my preferred OS. I finally got round to plugging it in when I was having trouble with the wireless connection and was very pleased to see that it worked immediately, saying that a wired connection had now been added to my machine, so I can report that it definitely works "out-of-the-box" on a up-to-date Linux install (in my case Kubuntu 14.04 beta). Unlike some other people here I have not done a direct speed test, but uploading some large files seem to show that it is extremely quick and I have no complaints. As I have it plugged into a USB 3 port, it is running very nicely. Heartily recommended.

Excellent Dongle for USB 2.0
I was almost buying a new laptop because my HP Pavillion 4 yrs old doesn’t have gigabyte card then I searched on smile.amazon.co.uk ( I always buy through this address cuz some % goes to Bowel Charity so you all should do it) and wow the net speed I received was 395 GB. No hassle just plug and play and virgin media service providernet plan is 350 mbps but with this dongle I get 350 plus speed but before I was just getting 77 mbps through wired Ethernet connection. Oh I MUST mention my HP laptop doesn’t have USB 3 but got eXtensible usb 3 so I guess it supports Pluggable adaptor for the correct speed. What a saver you almost saved me £2,700 cuz I was going to buy Apple MacBook Pro the recent one with 16 GB memory with 1TB Drive uff luckily I got this today and really pleased with product . Wish I found out earlier as I wasted too much money trying to figure it out. Thank you and I def recommend Pluggable device.cheers

You'll never need their fantastic customer support
With things like this that are close to commodity goods, there are lots of options of Chinese ODMs and OEMs to get a black box with your name on it. It's what's behind the box that is much more important than what is in it. First off, note that they actually tell you what's inside. OK, you're running Windows and you don't have any clue what that means, but if you're running Mac, Linux, or FreeBSD, that they let you know is beyond helpful. Past that, Plugable goes the extra yard on their competition by making sure they update the drivers constantly, so you're not left with a bum product. Their customer support is beyond helpful, in the off chance that you need it. For example, they'll make sure that you can get your device flashed with the newest software even if you aren't running Windows on a machine that has USB 3.0 ports. They stand behind their warranty. All that said, you're unlikely to need the support. Drivers installed on a Mac running Mavericks and the adapter came up without hesitation. Works like a champ without any glitches.

Chromebook2(CB35-B3340)で、接続するだけで無線から有線に自動で切り替わりました。

Vale ampiamente i soldi spesi.

Works as intended. You might have problems if you are using an old CPU.
If you are having problems running this adapter reliably when streaming heavy content, you need to configure Window's to rate limit the adapter instead of pulling the entire 1Gbp/s. Might be a problem since I have a rather old CPU (i7 7600u) and that is causing dropouts or driver restarts. Other than that the adapter works fine for 100% of content usage. Watching 1080p 60fps videos, downloading large datasets, cloning large github repositories (all simulataneously).
