Zinsser Cover Stain Primer & Sealer 1Ltr

I always hesitate to write reviews for this kind of product when I have only just used it - the real test will be how it performs on my window and door frames over the coming years. However, so far, so good. I did a lot of work on the prep, cleaning, sanding and filling then sanding again. Two coats of the primer seemed to give good coverage and adhesion to the underlying wood. One of the things I like is that the tin is good quality so you can reseal the lid many times and not get a skin on the remaining paint when you open it. It's not the cheapest out there but that's fair enough for the quality I think.

This is the best primer that I've ever used. It is thick when applying but it is supposed to be like this and it's very easy to paint on. It has covered all marks on the ladder and other stains which would not cover with other primers. I have painted my child's bunk bed from boring pine to a fantastic white and it now looks expensive. I've had lots of comments and it has brightened up the room. Such a very durable primer and I am going to buy another to revamp my other bedroom furniture. Worked pretty well for me. Only one coat covered a deep brown stain that came through white emulsion like I hadnt even painted it!!

Just the job for concealing persistent brown stains that kept re-appearing on a very thick old wall. We applied it about a month ago and so far no sign of the stains coming back. It does have a bit of an odour when applying, but was ok with windows open. The smell soon disappeared when it dried. So, all-in-all, brilliant stuff.

Excellent product. Used two coats to seal kitchen cupboards. Gave a lovely smooth finish, then used two coats of Annie Sloan Chalk paint and wax for the finished look. I am thrilled with the results. Hard work (31 cupboard doors and 21 drawers) probably wouldn't take on such a big project ever again but kitchen looks light and more modern. Love it.

Great Paint, does what it says and covers well. Smells a bit and be prepared to go through a few paint brushes as this paint is hard to clean off. But will use again because it's just great!

The discription is incorrect for the colour, very disappointing.Waste of money

Tried to cover old stained ceiling joists - didn’t really work as stain kept bleeding through - improvement on previous attempt looks a bit yellowish.
