Spear & Jackson 4867RS Razorsharp Lawn Shear

These shears were a godsend when I found that my electric strimmer really wasn't up for the job of getting through thick clumped grass and weeds. These razor sharp blades made light work of it and are great for edging too. Lightweight but sturdy, easy to use and just the right height for me. I would definitely recommend.

As expected Amazon delivery and price was good.Very shape blades and have used for the odd bit of lawn that my mower (or that is probably me) missed. Plus used to tidy up the edging.I’m 5”7-5”8 and the handles were a good length, not to heavy to give aching arms.Very quick to get out and tidy up about 30-40 meters of edging and no need to get the electric trimmer out and disrupt my neighbourhood.Have bought Spear & Jackson’s products before and tend to find they last a long time and are worth the higher price as they are a good quality product.

Really hard to buy in a shop. Nowhere seems to stock this shape. Needed this shape for my weird shaped garden and I'm really pleased with them. They are very sharp and most efficient. They feel very strong and work really smoothly.

Good quality sharp and quite lightweight

The blades are very sharp and cut cleanly. The only problem to me is the length of the handles. I am average height for a bloke, but to cut the grass edges, I had to lean forward slightly. It was not long before my lower back started to become uncomfortable. Hopefully, I will only need to use them for a short period each time as my back is taking a time to recover.

Can’t wait to get gardening

I don’t know what height person these are intended for, but I (5”8”) find them tiring to use for more than a few minutes because I have to bend down or hold them out in front of me to get them at the right angle.

Neat cut with super sharp blades

Like the saying goes, ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’. These trimmers are old school and perfect for neatening up my yard in hard to reach or delicate areas that I’d never try with a weedwacker.

Very nice and well-made long handled grass and weed trimmer. More precise than string trimmer. Can be tiring to use as most of the weight is out ahead of your shoulders. But much lighter than a string trimmer.Caution: blades are very sharp. They appear to be steel, not stainless steel, so may be prone to rusting. Store indoors and wipe a little light oil (WD-40 or similar) on blades occasionally.Will cat all grasses and smaller weeds.Recommended.
