Resident Evil 4 - Xbox Series X (XBX)

From someone who's played the original over a 100 times, this remake does this game JUSTICE. From the lackluster remake of RE3, the devs seem to have gotten it right. The game's updated graphics are PHENOMENOL. The game keeps its charm with gameplay that feels identical to the original, and that's not a bad thing! With updated dodge and roll mechanics, this game feels and plays better. The game however is not as long as the original as they have cut a lot of parts out, this game still has replayability. From different outfit unlocks, to different weapon mods, to more fun modes in Mercenaries, this game makes an all time classic feel great. This is how you do a proper remake. My hats off to you CAPCOM. Do yourself a favor and also purchase the Separate Ways DLC.

I thoroughly enjoyed this remake, despite having played the original several times. I liked that the game was not a shot by shot remake of the first, but almost a remix from someone in love with the original. Many of the boring walking parts were taken out and the path of the story hits the greatest hits but is different enough old time players and new ones can enjoy the layout without being bored. They seem to have taken a page from Dark Souls in redoing the map to be more logically looping and pathing you in more efficient places. Just FYI, the "normal" campaign is still pretty hard. It took me a few chapters to get back into the swing of things but there is a lot of customization and ways to take on the challenges. The horrible garden section is now reduced to something more manageable along with some of the weird cave stuff taken out. Also it's not as creepy since Ashley is a few years older. Lots of fan service here, well worth the money and I hope remakes in the future will take their lead and ship complete amazing games instead of half finished ones you hope will get better if you buy DLC. Capcom is hitting it out of the park these days, good on them.

As a long-time Resident Evil fan (and occasional coward), I can confidently say this remake of Resident Evil 4 for Xbox Series X is everything I hoped for and just a little bit meaner. The graphics are so sharp they made me jump at shadows—literally. I turned a corner, saw a broom leaning against the wall, and nearly emptied an entire clip. The controls are buttery smooth, the over-the-shoulder camera feels modern without losing that tense, claustrophobic charm, and the villagers are scarier than ever. The first time I heard the chainsaw rev, I questioned my life choices, my gaming skills, and whether I should sleep with the lights on. This isn’t just a nostalgia trip—it’s a masterclass in survival horror with upgraded mechanics that make every encounter feel like a puzzle, and every victory feels earned. Plus, the chickens are still there, which is important. This isn’t just a remaster—it’s a complete overhaul that respects the original while making it feel brand-new. If you’ve never played RE4 before, this is the definitive way to experience it. If you have played it, this is your chance to relive it in glorious 4K terror and wonder why you ever thought this game wasn’t scary.

Uno de los mejores Resident Evil que se han hecho hasta la fecha. Llegó impecable la versión de Estados Unidos en MX, obvio la caja en inglés pero sin ningún inconveniente una vez insertándolo en la consola. Una pena que cada vez se vean menos títulos físicos en Xbox.
