This product has so far proved affective at getting dogs to leave us alone and makes me feel a lot more confident when out with my reactive dog!My dog doesn't like other dogs, I make sure he has leash sleeves/signs warning that he doesn't like dogs coming near him, but unfortunately that doesn't stop owners letting their dog run up to him while he freaks out, usually accompanied by shouts of "don't worry, they're friendly!" (that doesn't mean they're friendly when another dog is doing everything in their power to get them to leave him alone), so having this spray is great for some of these dogs who just will not take no for an answer and who have no desire to listen to their owners attempts to call them back after being warned my dog isn't friendly.I've only actually had to use it once, but the dog was ignoring their owners calls, would not back away with my pushing them back, shouting at them, and was completely oblivious to the fact my dog did not want to be friends, but a quick spray to the face sent them running off back to their owner without further trauma to either dog.

Works, stopped my dogs getting in a nasty scrap. BUT, only good for one proper deterrent episode.Bigger cans would be appreciated.

Just been on a dog walk now, and had to use the spray to stop a huge dog that was completely ignoring its owner and was barrelling towards me and my 2 little sausage dogs. This product works.One of my dogs have been attacked before, so I wasn’t going to take any chances. So I got my spray out and when the offender was about 6 feet away I sprayed in it’s general direction, it stopped dead in its tracks... I think the shock of the water spray just took it by surprise, then it started to edge closer, so I gave it another little burst ... ( whilst reassuring the owner on the other side of the field 🙄, that it was just a water spray, don’t want to end up in any fights!) well it was amazing it just stopped ... looking a bit confused at to what had just happened, my little sausages hiding behind me gave a little sigh of relief.I feel so much more confident now walking my dogs out and about. It’s something I’ll only use when necessary, but it’s peace of mind, as sadly not all dog owners have good recall on their dogs. Have ordered more for myself and family.

Bought for a relative who's dog recently got attacked whilst on a walk. It has definitely given said relative more confidence when out and about. Small compact size, will fit in pocket easily. Thankfully hasn't needed to be used so can't comment on effectiveness. Looks simple enough to use if needed. From the info it came with it only holds enough spray for a single use, with that in mind I do think its quite expensive. But then again you can't put a price on the safety of our pets!

Easy to use. Wife carries this when walking the dog by herself at night just in case she is attacked. Tried a small shot and it worked on me like pepper spray caused burning eyes and took breath away so would work really well on animals

The clip on the bottle instantly fails, meaning you lose the can. Crap. Sort the clip Seller, not rocket science.

I found this very small tin to be quite costly for what it is. There's not loads in it so has to be used for emergency only (which is what it's for)I also think it will depend on the dog whether it will work for them or not. They definitely don't like it but if it would work for a dog in a rage I don't know. It has leaked in my pocket a few times now, so be careful how you carry it. It's a bit too expensive to waste!
