Pocari Sweat Electrolyte Drink 5 Packet Box – Hydration, Replenishment & Recovery Beverage

It always save my life in summer. Great flavor and easy to mix. It's refreshing after workouts or on hot days, and it helps me stay hydrated. I like keeping a few packets on hand for travel as well! It's much more cheaper than buying a bottle of Pocari Sweat

I first discovered Pocari Sweat in Japan and fell in love with it. I'm prone to dehydration, which leads to headaches, and travel always makes it worse. Finding a hydration drink without artificial sweeteners is surprisingly difficult. I can't stand them, so when I found Pocari Sweat, I was thrilled. I drank it every single day for two weeks straight on my trip. I was thrilled to find out I could buy the powder pouches here in the US. My preferred ratio is one pouch in a large 64 oz (8-cup) ball jar. It's the perfect amount of sweetness - just a touch. Now, I always have one prepared in my fridge. Highly recommend for anyone who struggles to stay hydrated!

Avoid if you don’t want real sugar. Other than that, I rather enjoyed this as a light electro refresher. The subtle pomelo taste was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting either orange or lemon. I didn’t read the small printed instruction before purchase so I was caught off guard that it’s one pouch : one liter mix. For the remaining four pouches, I divided one pouch to 3 16oz bottles for easier consumption. Powder mixes easily, no clumps, no floating particles. This is good for little to light workouts/walks. The electrolytes values are very little compared to the pedialyte sport that I always go to for my 5 or 10k runs.

Mix 1 packet of powder with 1 Liter of water. 1 Liter = about 4 and 1/4 cups, or a little more than 1 quart. So, 5 packets in a box will make more than 1 gallon of drink. I shook it in an empty juice bottle that I was about to throw away. I added more water than it instructed because that's my personal preference for powder mixes in general. Pocari Sweat's main ingredients are like Gatorade or Powerade. It has a gentle grapefruit flavor, no caffeine, no artificial sweeteners, no corn syrup, no dyes or food coloring, but no Vitamin C. This is my first time trying it. It tastes really nice to me, not too salty or sweet. I can't speak as well to compare its effectiveness for athletic endurance. (I don't consider glucose artificial. The ingredients list "natural and artificial flavors," if that makes a difference to you, but separately list a higher concentration of "grapefruit powder.") This box has 5 packets. The back of the box says it's developed by Otsuka Pharmaceutical of Japan, manufactured in (product of) South Korea, and distributed in the United States by Crystal Geyser Water in California. In terms of value, these packets of dry powder are likely better for your money than if they were pre-mixed in bottles with water. Then, their weight and shipping prices would be mostly water. Since the ingredients to me are not that different from other hydration sports drinks, I would buy one that's common here in the USA next time instead of importing this all the way from Asia. Pocari is nice to try at least once though.

Great deal for how much drink you can get. I love the flavor and it was always my drink of choice when needing to hydrate in Japan. Unfortunately I found out this is mostly sugar (much higher calorie than I expected), but that explains why I liked it so much. Definitely hydrating and makes drinking 1L very easy!

Great Electrolyte that uses real sugar. Hydration requires Sodium, Potassium and Sugar. I have no idea why most hydration drinks seem to leave out sugar or add stevia etc. I also like that it doesn't have a ton of vitamins added to it- just hydration. My entire family drinks this and they all like the taste. When my family member had to do a colonoscopy prep- I gave them a box of this and they said it made them feel much better during the process then the Gatorade they used before It is kind of pricey, but we'll worth it.

Wayyyy cheaper than pedialyte or gatorade powder, and it tastes amazing. Makes the entire liter taste great, stays cold, and has a lot of vitamins. I would advise caution to those of us on certain prescription medications as this does have grapefruit in it, just something to be aware of.

Not a starter gift set. I only received a box of 5 packets. I requested a replacement and got another box of 5 packets. No bottle, no starter pack. I saw other reviews that said the same thing and thought it must have been a simple mistake. But here I am. The third party support website for the product is not the official Pocari website and doesn't assist with product support.
