Q: do they work with amazon kindle?

They are only headphones, works with everything. There is no microphone on them.

Q: Is there a volume control?

No volume control. They are very lightweight, but very basic. I also find it a but tricky to position them properly over my ears, especially as they're so light I can't feel them! But they're ok.

Q: Will I be able to wear a cap while I’m using them?

Yes, shouldn't be a problem if you mean a baseball cap. I wear a baseball cap over the headphones when sat outside in the summer and it's not a problem. If you mean a flat cap I can't be sure.
