BBB Cycling Chain Link Removal Tool 7-12 Speed I Chain Delinker For Road And MTB

I have managed for many years using a chain splitter to pop a rivet to take the chain off, or occasionally removing the split link with a pair of needle-nosed pliers, but I always found it a bit of a faff. I put off buying these for a long time because it seemed expensive for something I'll use for a few seconds about once a month. Finally I bought them and I wish I'd bought them years ago. They are nicely made, feel robust and comfortable in the hand, and they opened the link in my Shimano chain with no effort at all in about half a second. Rejoining the chain is a tad fiddlier, but it is a job which can be done in 5 seconds with this tool. There is no need to file off the stop, as some reviewers have suggested. Just ensure that the tool is inserted deeply enough into the gaps in the links. This tool is a delight to use. I shouldn't have thought about how little time I'd spend using it, but how much time I'd save by using it. I have 2 bikes and remove the chains to clean and wax them about once a month.

Very robust and good value, easily opened the link which totally defeated the one described below.I bought this as a replacement for a crappy tyre lever kit which doubled as a quick link pliers which snapped the first time it was used, and actually cost more than this one

..but I have only used it once. It was sturdy and worked as it should.

For some reason this is described as unisex! I can confirm that this tool can be used by people of any gender!!!For the money it's a decent sturdy tool. I did see mention in some reviews that this is great at breaking quicklinks but not joining them - you should not be using this to join them, that should be done by pedaling.

What a great little tl this is. Easily unlocked my 10 speed chain link. Impossible to do without this tool.

I returned to pedal biking from the usual hub-geared bikes in my youth. When the derailleurs came out, I had no idea the chain cannot be tightened / adjusted as per earlier chains. Many now come with a 'removable link' to fit / remove the chain and this tool makes it so much easier, on and off. Disappointed with the image of it on Amazon - they show a large image of a further tool which would complement this one perfectly. No big deal though.

Got these to replace my lost Park Tools pliers. Not as high quality as the park tool pliers but defo do the job no probs for me. If you’re breaking chains every day get the Park Tools but you’re only needing them to clean your bike chain once a week then these BBBs are more than good enough.

Es fácil de usar y gracias a ella el eslabón rápido se quita y se pone sin esfuerzo en muy poco tiempo.En definitiva, es una buena herramienta que facilita mucho el mantenimiento o la sustitución de la cadena.
