Q: Hi everyone. I'm looking at buying this. Is it really as crap as everyone is saying? Does it have electrical problems or is great?!

I have had mine for 7 years and bought 1 each for my teenage kids and for my parents . They are brilliant . I have it on low heat all night due to arthritis . I would not have anything else

Q: Can you set the timers to come on for a specific time each night?

When you switch the blanket on, the default OFF time is one hour on heat setting 9. You can change this to 5, 8 or 12 hours. It does not switch the blanket ON. You need to do that manually. I think plug in timers are discouraged because they might interfere with the blanket controls and 1 hour on heat 9 will be unbearable! It heats up so quickly, you do not need to switch it on early. By the time you are undressed, the bed will be warm.

Q: I have a king size Homefront Electric Blanket ACHPFK - can you buy spare controllers as the electric cables are starting to fray.

Q: We have read elsewhere it is unsafe to use a heated mattress cover/under blanket on memory foam mattress, any ideas why???

We have used ours for over a year on a memory foam mattress under a thick Duvet with no problem. Our previous blanket reached higher temperatures and we had that over 7 years with no problem.
