Philips Series 5000 11-in-1 Grooming Kit

I keep my hair short, the joys of going bald! So every once in a while I end up buying new hair clippers, this product is my latest This Phillips product was bought at a very reasonable price, and does everything that I need, many assortments of different cutting sizes, decent battery life, once recharged, and even a size to do body hair, should you require it, one thing to be aware off, without the relevant size cutters fitted, the blade can be quite sharp! But then who want a dull blade? For me, a nice bit of kit, reasonable costs and perfect for the job at hand!

SO i origionally bought this in April and left a review stating the main large trimmer was "unattatchable" without unscrewing it, i have NOW come to find that i was just being very very "blonde" and its sorted now ha, love this lil product battery life is pretty solid not charged it for pretty much 3 weeks now and trim every week and its okay, attatchments are all really good too " although i havent used any of the mm size clipsons" ONLY thing i would like " just to be fussy" is like a small case for the trimmer its self as travelling and things just having it loose in the bag with all the attatchments leaves me to think that it would break or get damaged but so far so good, OVER ALL , for £35 its perfect to be honest, nice and sharp easy to use and look after, small, light

I've had this beard trimmer for maybe a year or so. It works well. The battery life is still ok, after this length of time too, not mind blowing but enough to do my face. The 4 stars is down to the attachments. The 3-7mm attachment frequently (possibly every time I've used it) changes on its own while in use. This is obviously irritating as you'll shave too short a beard and have to just run with it because it's already happened. Understandably it'll be down to how I am pressing the shaver into my face but this is the fundamental function of the product and nobodies beard sits on a flat sur-Face ;) . . . . . The two smaller attachments also both lost one of the "teeth" early on so I have the bonus you of an uneven shave too. This isn't a problem for me now, as I don't shave my beard that short, but they broke pretty early days so I'd say the attachments could be made a bit better. HOWEVER, this is a decent shaver, good grip etc.

Why have I bothered struggling on with my cheap beard trimmer?! I took the plunge after getting fed up with my cheap kit and was instantly so pleased I did . This 5000 series is brilliant. So many very easily changeable attachments mean you can do whatever you need to keep your beard looking sharp. The battery lasts for ages too which is nice. I'd suggest there may be a few too many attachments as I think I've used about five so far and that's only because I tried to mix it up a bit... I use three regularly. The little foil attachment makes a lot of noise but disproportionately to how much it does... doesn't get as close as a proper foil shaver would but then it's one of loads of heads at a very reasonable price so can't complain too much about that! Really great product - highly recommended.

I use the trimmer predominantly for my beard as I like to keep it short without having to shave. There's plenty of variation in the heads, allowing you to trim very close or keep your beard longer in areas. The nose hair trimmer is an excellent addition too. Battery life is decent and it actually came with a UK plug, which most tend not to. I would recommend.

This is a decent trimmer. Its combs allow you to trim down to 1mm and has a slightly above average battery life however after 18 months it has stopped working.

My old shaver lasted 4 years but it was time for a new one. This shaver is great and comes with so many attachments. To help avoid confusion if you buy this.. I spent a while figuring out how the nose trimmer and the precision trimmer fit on. Doesn’t clearly state in the instructions but alongside swapping the 1mm,2mm,3mm shaving guards on top of the wide metal shaver head, you can also unclip the actual metal shaver head itself. Feels like you need a bit of force as you feel you might be doing he wrong thing, but unclips easy when you’re used to it. Great product, 4 out of 5 for actual shave quality, but 5 out of 5 for ease of use, battery life and amount of shaving heads & possibilities.

Very happy to pick this up in a Black Friday deal however the start price seemed very fair for what is provided. The attachments provided in the package cover everything I was after, regular beard trimmer with various depth/length guides even a nasal hair attachment. High light for me was the precision shaver head and detail trimmer that allows for more accurate trimming and shaving.

First of all, I waited this long to write a review because I honestly had forgotten to, but overall I'd have to say I'm quite pleased with the razer and its different multifunctional heads. I bought it about 14 months ago, and used it roughly 2-5 times a month on my beard, nose, etc. The battery was usually quite good holding a couple of uses without charge. Also have to say that I never left it on the charger extensively or knowingly let the razer fall onto the floor, etc. Unfortunately a couple of days ago, I realized that the battery was dead after like 30 sec of trimming. Thinking this was due to me forgetting to charge I plugged it in and came back a couple of hours later, to have another 30 sec trim. Upon realizing that the battery must be wrecked, I just gave Philips a call, and they said they would send me a new one upon returning the old one. They were friendly and helpful over the phone, so I can't really say I have anything to complain about.

Très bonne tondeuse, pratique avec de nombreux accessoires, facile a utiliser et efficace. Il s'agit de ma deuxième tondeuse de ce modèle. Le gros bémol est la durée de vie est plutôt limitée, comme tous les accessoires Phillips en général (tondeuses, rasoirs,....). La qualité et la durabilité est bien en dessous de braun par exemple.
