Nicrew Legs Out Front- facing Carrier for dogs
I have only had this carrier for a week. So l cannot review its long term performance. I usually prefer to use a purchase before reviewing it. I will however give my honest opinion. Up to now l think that this dog carrier is a wonderful item. My Yorkshire is a slightly larger one. 6.35 kilos. I bought the largest size which fits perfectly. It states that it is for dogs up to 7kilos. So that is a good guideline. He is 15yrs old now and cannot manage the long walks that he was used to. I had purchased a sling style dog carrier from America before they were ready available through Amazon. It put a great strain on my shoulder. This carrier however sits very comfortably on the upper back. I state that because in my opinion, l would rather carry the weight on my upper back than on the waist. If the straps are adjusted to the correct level. The weight is evenly distributed round the upper torso. As people are stronger there, other than the small of the back, then that is less likely to cause strain. So l disagree with the extra waist strap theory. I have a large capacity backpack carrying the load mainly on the waist line. It causes my back to ache. I am not a back pain sufferer. The straps are very wide and sit very well on the shoulders and upper back. It has sliding shoulder pads. It has four holes for pooches legs and a tail hole. The stress is taken on the dogs bottom above the tail with a stretchy renforced material. The rest of the front is a stretchy mesh. There are strong zips on each side to fully open the front. Velcro fastened to close the top. The part that goes against the body is a thin but strong nylon type fabric. It has a little give which puts less pressure on the dogs spine. The carrier is foldable which is great for putting into a rucksack or bag. The end of the webbing on the straps have substantial slot in clips. Similar to car seat belts. So l hope that they last as they take the whole weight. Most importantly the third time we used it, my dog was tiring on the walk. When l went to put him into the bag he almost dived headfirst. He loves it and sits there totally relaxed looking around at the world at a different perspective. I have to add however. The first time he sat in it, he was unsure and a little uneasy. His legs protruded straight ahead. As l had an open jacket on with the carrier under it. All you could see were four hairy legs protruding from my jacket. It looked like the scene from Alien, when the monster came out of the man's stomach. It did slow a few cars down. His legs now flopp down whilst l do all the hard work. How we love our pets! Still, it saves paying for the gym as you get an excellent weight baring workout as well. That's providing your dog is above 6kilos. Phew.! Excellent product for an excellent price. Highly recommended. I can now enjoy long walks again.

Works well, dog happy
Bought for elderly JRT who likes being cuddled & gets tired easily these days. I Followed measurement guidelines and got the XL. She fits in it well and seems very relaxed as she can still see what going on. Only negative comment would be that she appears to 'fall' forward and 'swing' a bit. i.e not held upright & close to chest. Though this may be improved with more strap & closing tightness as I become more familiar with item. Otherwise a good purchase.

Happy dog!
I wasn’t sure if my dog would be happy in this, but the opposite is the case, HE LOVES IT! I bought it for when I’m out on my bike. My dog will happily run behind when we’re on paths and off road, but he has twice had me off my bike when he is on the lead at the side of a road, when he suddenly decides to stop!! He’s too heavy for a basket and I think he would just jump out, so I thought I’d give this a try.It folds up quite compactly so I can put it in my bike bag until needed. Once I had adjusted the straps to my preferred length, it was a doddle getting the dog in it. I first put the carrier on, and then fit my dog in, it’s very easy. I bought the X-Large for my Parson’s Jack Russell and he fits in comfortably. He feels safe and secure and he is very happy in it.My only concern is the Velcro fasteners. The front zips up on both sides once the dog has his legs in, then there are a couple of Velcro fasteners to stop the zips coming down, but then don’t feel that they wil last, I may have to look at making some home adjustments/additions.I’ve added a couple of photo’s of Ted in the carrier, and a pic of him so you can get an idea of his size for the X-Large carrier.Overall, I am very happy with the carrier, it is perfect for my needs.

Could be better
Not been out with dog yet but tried it one with her and it feels Less sturdy and well made than the one I have for me back. Feels like it needs and extra strap for support, pulls heavily on shoulders. Like having my dog front facing though

Perfect
We went for a short city Break with our small dog and this was perfect. He's partially sighted and getting old and can't walk too far, but loves to be with us as much as poss, and we like to involve him in everything we can. The carrier was perfect. We have a smaller than average Lhasa apso and bought the large size. It fit him perfectly, not too tight and a little bit of room but not too much. He was so chilled and content in the carrier, it meant he could be his usual nosy self but not have to walk as far, and get lots of attention from passers by. We gave him a little break from it every now and again for toilet breaks and to make sure he didn't want to stretch his legs a little bit. My advice through trial and error is to put the carrier onto the human and open it out frontwards and pop your dog in from above, slotting his legs in and bring the front up and secure him that way. Just so much easier than putting him in it first and meant we could have him in and out in seconds. Was worth every penny for us.

Meh!
I love to bring my dog everywhere I go and she rides the motorcycle with me. I have a sling bag which is not really efficient on a bike so thought I'll get my darling riding papoose style. She is a small cavachon of approx 8 kgs and I purchased the large bag. One look at us in the mirror and I felt sorry for us both. Not sure if she's comfortable in there she did not say but for me it was uncomfortable. More so I have broad shoulders and the strap would not clip in place. Asked my smaller shoulders wife to try it on and the strap was ok but I still felt sorry for my dog as if my wife does not walk hugging the carrier it just hangs weirdly. Sent it back with no regrets.
