Lovely looking bowl, but got mouldy quickly
Unfortunately mine developed what looks like mould spores ingrained within it. It’s a shame because the bowl looks nice and the suction cup works well. It’s worked out expensive for only a spoon that I can now use. Wish i’d saved money and bought a plastic bowl insteadI did contact the company and they suggested a couple of cleaning methods - which was kind of them, but it didn’t work and I don’t want to risk giving my baby a mouldy bowl to eat from.

Looks great, doesn’t last, poor customer service
I rarely write reviews but felt it necessary with this purchase. On arrival, the bowl looked perfect, visually pleasing (as baby bowls go) and nicely packaged. Similarly, the size of the bowl and material of the spoon is great for starting to introduce my little girl to food. So far so good. The problem occurred when after just 5 or 6 uses, two reasonably large cracks appeared in the side of the bowl. I can guarantee the bowl was not dropped, thrown, stamped on or ran over, it had simply been used to feed my baby some mushy food and then hand washed in the sink. These things do happen when products are produced on a mass scale, so I thought I would politely get in touch. It was at this point I started to get a little frustrated - I was told these were cracks caused by user abuse, and that bamboo doesn’t split. I am no expert on bamboo, and would agree it probably doesn’t split, but these products are not turned from a solid piece of bamboo. The wood is clearly laminated, glued together and then shaped. The split is along a join, which from most people’s perspectives, constitutes a manufacturing defect. Visually, it is a bit annoying, but from a hygiene perspective, splits like this are not acceptable. Since pointing this out, I have had no response from the seller (who I assume is also the manufacturer). Based on the lack of customer service and the seemingly very short life span of the bowl, I would not be able to recommend this product.

Pricey but worth every penny
This is a beautiful product and well deserving of its design awards. I bought it out of desperation after trying several bowls with really poor suction. My 11 month-old grandson would simply pull them off and food would go everywhere. The suction on this is brilliant, and I love the deep shape which allows him to easily scoop food out. The spoon looks big but is surprisingly manageable for small hands. I ended up buying a second one so that he could have one in his own home as well. It might seem a bit on the pricey side, but worth every penny. I wish I'd spotted it before wasting money on other, cheaper but rubbish products.Update: Our bowls have been in daily use now for almost 2 years and look as good as new. As the the suction ring can be removed, they often double up as pretty dishes for serving savory snacks to guests.Tip: I recommend removing the suction ring before each wash as water can get trapped underneath and damage the beautiful wood. Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful. Check out my profile page for more reviews of toddler books and puzzles and educational toys and games.

After six months, the bowel broke
I normally dont write a review but after only having this bowl for 6 months, a chunk of the bamboo broke off. Thank goodness it didn’t happen when I was feeding my baby. As you can see there are some jagged edges where it broke off so a hazard to any baby.

WARNING THEY ARRIVE MOULDY!!
Disgusting!! I have just received my 2nd bowl after the first bowl arrived with mould on it. I have just opened the 2nd bowl and the mould is even worse. I dont usually write reviews but I'm disgusted that these are designed for babies/ toddlers and are arriving infested with mould. I have added the images as proof! 2 separate orders 2 mouldy products!!!

Suction does not satisfy
The bowl does not stick to ikea high chair, the suction lasts longer than cheaper versions but the inevitable transformation into a helmet does not take long, 15 quid to become a bean head is it not worth it

Bowled over
I’ve had the wooden plate from this range for over a year, and found it to be a very handy little utensil for teaching my daughter (now 22 months) to feed herself with her hands. However, I felt she needed to get a bit more comfortable feeding herself with a spoon, and while the plate is great, it’s not really designed for spoonable foods. I’d been thinking about getting this bowl for a while, but wasn’t sure if it was going to be that much different from the plate, in usability terms. However, I needed not have worried. Once I’d ordered it and it arrived, it seemed so dinky and small. But in practice, the size is perfect. It holds suction (on a textured stone-type table) longer than the plate, and while bowl throwing isn’t so much of an issue at this age, having the bowl stay very solidly in place is fantastic for a spoon-driver in training! The sides are nice and high, and allow her to chase the food to the edges to load the spoon without fear of tipping the food over the top. She doesn’t use the silicone and wood spoon supplied, as it’s a tad too bulky for her mouth, and anyway, she’s quite happy with an ordinary teaspoon at this point. The bowl itself has a lovely tactile, warm quality. It’s pretty easy to wash, I generally just give it a quick rinse and wash straight after use. Staining hasn’t been an issue at all, even after curries with turmeric or tomato based sauces.

Great but don't submerge them or they'll start cracking
I would have given this 5 stars were it not for a slight issue we've noticed over time - if you leave these bowls in a basin of water to wash (which is how we do it with all the various baby objects), they will start to crack. I recognize that we probably shouldn't treat these that way, so it's more our fault than the any shortcoming of the product, but if you're like me in the way you wash these things, just be aware of that. Otherwise, they're absolutely brilliant - perfect size, great suction, and nice-looking.
