Fantastic headset for working from home
Very comfortable to wear, clear sound and with a single charge able to deal with a good days worth of calls pretty much non-stop. Good range too, especially useful if you need to walk away from your laptop without dropping from your call. Charging case very handy too. Had an older version of this previously for years but this one is much better. Thoroughly recommend 👌

Best Available
I’ve been using Plantronics for years and this is hands down the best BT earpiece available. I can be driving with the sunroof open and there’s no background noise. Battery life is exceptional. I have gone through 3 of them over years. Lost 1, killed the battery on the others.

Great noise cancellation but average battery and a bit fiddly
The reason I bought this was that my Jabra 65 is not loud enough sometimes when I'm in a noisy environment. The 5200 is definitely a lot louder and it has some extra functionality over the Jabra 65 in terms of controlling Alexa etc and it can respond to voice commands to answer or reject calls etc.Noise-cancelling is excellent with all my callers saying they could not hear any background noise even in the noisiest of places. I would say it's equal with the Jabra 65 on noise-cancellation.Where it loses as against the Jabra 65 is in terms of comfort with the Jabra being much softer and easier to wear for long periods (at least for my ears) and the battery only lasts half the Jabra's 12-14 hours. The 5200 has a charging case which can give 2 further 7 hour charges but I'd rather not need to take that with me. I'd give the edge to the Jabra on fast-charging too - just a few mins and you have an hour of talk time again. The Jabra is about £15 cheaper too.Overall, I think it's horses for courses. Both earsets are excellent choices depending on what your needs are and what's more important to you.

Great earpiece
Bought this to use with soft phone system and mobile, great sound quality very comfortable to wear. My only problem is it sometimes answers itself when not expecting it too!

The charging case doesn't charge headset
This was meant to be a decent upgrade from an older version which was experiencing battery drain issues. Instead what I've found is that this is virtually the same experience.Supposedly this has increased range, but it still disconnects when I go to the kitchen for some water. The main issue I had with the old headset was the battery ran out far too quickly. This device is worse because the main method of charging it, the case with a built in dock to replace the old standalone cradle, doesn't actually work with this headset. This is a known issue that has been discussed at length on forums across the web, but not mentioned in many reviews here. It seems as though whoever designed the headset didn't actually check whether the case charges it or not - the metal contacts designed for wireless charging don't actually make contact. The external cradle is the worse of the two options, as there's a bump in the plastic immediately below the metal contacts on the case which doesn't have a corresponding indentation on the headset itself, meaning the contacts are held away from each other. I have never had this successfully charge the headset. The case also has an internal set of charging contacts which similarly fail to make good contact, this time not due to a physical mismatch but seemingly due to poor quality control. It's 50/50 when you place the headset in the case whether it will make sufficient contact to actually charge.Whilst it's possible to charge the headset directly using an outdated micro USB cable, this is hugely inconvenient when compared to the ease of use and charging I had with the older headset. What an absolute letdown.

Perfect solution
I spend long hours on VCs and calls and have tried many different headsets, and I am very happy with this Poly Voyager 5200. Despite being small, it has an excellent microphone, and no one ever complains about not hearing me, even when I am outside and there is a lot of ambient noise around. It has about 5 hours talk time, recharges rapidly and can connect simultanously to my phone and computer, which I find very useful.

Cannot answer or end calls using the button on the headset
A good headset with good quality of sound and noise cancellation. However, it seems this is probably better suited to a mobile device than laptop, despite what the manufacturer and description says. The buttons for volume control etc, are a bit fiddly but OK.The big issue is answering and ending calls. There is a button at the rear of the boom which is intended for this function. I contacted "Poly" support to find out why it doesn't work. The support email chain has been going on for about 4 weeks now and I'm still yet to get a clear idea of why it doesn't work. The support people do not seem to understand that I have updated the software and that I am not using it with a mobile phone but instead with a laptop. Very frustrating and I would not purchase again based on the poor support and lack of convenience of answering / ending calls. I spend a lot of time on the phone in my job and like to be mobile and walk from my desk. This poor headset means I am bound to my desk and must use a soft button on my laptop to answer and end calls. If I'm not at my desk I miss the call... anyway, you get the picture.
