This is a beautiful book full of emotion and love.Dana is a wonderful character, full of depth, trying to survive and escape her fate.David protects his city, when he comes across Dana being attacked he saved her, at great cost to himself.Dana is on the run, David is now her protector. Both have tragic histories they hold onto, both yelling to survive and exist. Can they do more than exist together.I loved this book, the character detail had me engrossed and I highly recommend it.

David had been kept captive and now tried to protect others and in doing so meets Dana.

Great read!
I enjoyed this book. A great paranormal light romance! Great characters, interesting storyline and engaging writing style. This is the second book in a series, and now I am going to have to read book one! They are stand-alone so I didn't feel like I missed out not having read the first. But once you read one you are intrigued to find out about the other characters. 4.5 stars.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Good shifter romance
Abigail Raines is always a good bet for an entertaining shifter romance. While there may not be anything groundbreaking in this story, it is head and shoulders above a lot of the similar books out there, simply because Raines knows how to write well. I would always recommend any of her books if you enjoy paranormal romance as you won’t be disappointedI received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Enjoyable read
I did like this book.loved that David even as a bit of a recluse was so balanced despite his horror of a past.I was expecting this to be one of those "daddy" books because of the title, as was pleasantly surprised that it's not.Nice story good characters and enough going on to keep you engaged.I requested and received an ARC for my honest review.

Fantastic story.
Thrills and spells. I loved this story. The wicked witch and the wicked dragon, the beautiful young maiden and the handsome young dragon. Mine control, prisoners, spells, treachery, love and danger. This book has it all!

A great second book
Another great book by Abigail. Has such a great story about love and overcoming obstacles with each other. Can't wait to see what the next book is about. Will definitely buying that one as well!

Good read, sexy.
It was a bit short, and the sex started fairly quickly. It had enough character development, and a tie-in with another story, okay for very light reading,

A hermit player...uummmm no
First off, I really do admire those who put their work out there for all to read. It takes guts and work. This writer is pretty good but.....There are some editing and grammar issues that distracted me and had me reading parts over to get it right. The most frustrating thing though were the inconsistent aspects of the story. So, David is taken at 15 and has only been free a few years. He is a hermit who only goes out to either meet his guy friends or to “rescue” people. He is super reserved and cannot handle social situations at all.But.....you guessed it, he is master with women. A real community dick who enjoys a lot of sex and a lot of women. And despite his trauma and captivity, he is a investment genius.Ummm sorry but this makes zero sense and is soooo doesn’t work.Don’t even want to talk about Dana. She apparently goes from shooting bad guys who are already on fire in the head to someone who can’t seem to do anything else.
