This review is for the "USB C to HDMI(4Kx2K) Adapter, Topoint 4-in-1 USB C HUB, USB 3.1 Type C to HDMI UHD Converter Adapter with RJ45(Gigabit Ethernet), USB 3.0 Port & Power Delivery Port for All New MacBook/MacBook Pro 2015/2016/2017, and Other USB-C Port Equipped Devices, Plug and Play"This unit came in a box with the product details noted but no company brand name - who makes it is a mystery.It plugs straight into the laptop and does not need drivers - windows 10 just sorts it out.I thought this would make it easier to connect up my Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga X1 at work each day (I connect USB power, USB mouse dongle, HDMI screen and RJ45 ethernet). Initially it worked, but it was not reliable at making connections to all kit. If you unplugged the laptop, most things would not reconnect and then it was a fiddly time of connecting and reconnecting things - exactly the opposite of what it was there for. In some cases, the screen would not connect at all without re-booting the laptop.Also it's worth noting, as others have, that this unit runs very hot, even with nothing connected. It worried me that it might destroy my USB mouse dongle over time.I've now ordered the Lenovo hub Lenovo USB-C Hub, Type C Adapter with HDMI Port, Gigabit Ethernet Port, USBC Charging Port, 2 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 2.0 Ports, SD/TF Card Reader, for MacBook Pro and More USB C Devices. Fingers crossed, this is better.

It all started great. The hub was working, i was able to connect to HDMI screens and get other peripherals attached, but after a couple of weeks the product started overheating to an extent that one of my bluetooth mouse dongles melted towards the USB contacts and stopped working. That mouse worked for 1 year before that without any issues. Then the adapter started faltering port by port, First the usb, then the usb-c and then the HDMI. Would not recommend this one,

Works on Ubuntu 17:10 on my Dell XPS-13-9360, connecting a BenQ 27" GW2765 at 2560x1440 (at the same time as the laptop's built-in 1920x1080 display).

As noted by another customer lasted a week then the USB-C and HDMI ports stopped workingUPDATE:The seller kindly sent a replacement free of charge and so far that has been working.

Works really well as a basic dock for any PC that uses USB-C, especially using the pass through power, if your PC charges via USB-C too.

Really impressed with this product.

Had it for about a month before it suddenly just stopped working absolute waste of money don't bother with it

Thought the silver one has SD card reader facility but after receiving its not. the grey color one has. working perfect.
