Huawei Honor 9 SIM-Free Smartphone - Blue

I bought this after my HTC One M8 finally died, this is the first time I've ever bought a phone without seeing it in real life but it was worth it.It's a beautiful phone, I love the way the light reacts with the blue. It's brand new and it comes in it's original box just like you'd get from a store, with a clear case (it's plastic but quite flexible) which is needed because it does attract fingerprints and could scratch (there are ear phones too). The charger is one of those newer chargers so the older USBs won't fit in it, but I don't mind; I'm sure Samsung and other big names have upgraded their charger too).The home button on the phone is a fingerprint scanner. The phone has lots of Smart Assistance controls that you can have fun with, also there are some apps that you probably won't want but you CAN delete most of them so that frees up storage space.It has space for 2 SIM cards, but I just use 1 and put micro SD card in the other.The dual cameras are so sharp, the picture I've attached was taken with the front camera and I've added some of the special effects that you can play around with.Only thing that might niggle some people is when you put the phone down on a table for example, it can slide around so be careful and put that case on it straight away.I have Prime so mine arrived the next day with no problems.

Early days yet but so far I've been very pleased by this phone. It's a nice looking, well finished phone and have found it to be excellent value for money. The phone is very fast and has bags of space on it. There are a few differences from my previous HTCs that have taken a bit of getting used to however they are mainly positive. Having both fingerprint and face recognition on a phone at this price is great and they both work well. I would have preferred to have wireless charging built in but can't complain at the price.

It is a very good product! I am very surprised. I didn't expect it when I bought it as the price is quite low for a smartphone.The aspect is very nice and the quality of the exterior parts seems very good. Nice tact.If useful please vote helpful review!!!The fingerprint works better than with my last phone (it was a Huawei).It has 3 cameras, one at the front and 2 at the back. The quality of the pictures is actually very good! In left some pictures there so you can see.It has for 2 sim cards!! Or one sim card and one memory cardThe only thing that I do not like is the battery, it lasts normally during all day but if you use it more than normal then it might not be enough.I use the phone for the normal things, so I find it a very good phone for that kind of useNEGATIVE PART: THE CAMERA IS VERY SLOW! Since you open the camera until you can press the bottom to take a picture it takes more than normal.I recommend it, very surprised!

*AESTHETIC*This looks like a phone that looks like it might be owned by a nightclub owner. It has shiny blue finish that looks very sleek. The volume rocker is positioned just above the power button, which has led to me accidentally turning off the phone instead of turning down the volume. The speaker is positioned on the bottom and projects well. The dual camera lens is positioned on the right hand side of the phone - aesthetically this works without problem but a few times that because I am right handed my fingers will stray into the line of vision of the camera when taking a photo. Left handed users might have a slightly better experience with the camera.*BUILD*The phone is very light overall. Tough gorilla grass is on the front and back of the phone. It feels strong enough, but because of the gorilla glass on the back the phone feels a bit slippy - I would recommend a low profile case to go with this.USER INTERFACEThe latest EMUI is very user friendly and it has come a long way since earlier versions. Its extremely fast and responsive even after months of use. The interface is probably more akin to what iPhone users might be used to and this might be a good bridge phone for those converting from iphone to android.CAMERAThis is one of the highlights of this phone. The camera has been exceptional in low-light settings with the option of night mode. The camera interface is really simple to use and you can quickly customise your shots in a matter of seconds once you've played around with the settings. I think this is the phone feature that will really make you fall in love with this phone - from pre-processing right down to the end image this has all the features I am realistically going to use for everyday needs, the odd night out here and there and day trips out.BATTERYThe battery lasts 24 hours for most everyday usage. With gaming and youtube frequently that comes down to 16-18 hours. I haven't noticed this phone heat up as much as the Honor 8 used to - perhaps the gorilla glass interferes with heat dissipation.CALL QUALITYThe call quality has always been excellent on this phone and better than my previous phone the OnePlus 3.

I had this phone for 5 years and dropped it countless times. Not a scratch on it (using a gorilla glass screen protector)The battery still lasts well over a day with intense screen use. Haven't actually had any issues with the software or OS either, it's got very good performance.Ended up replacing it mainly for the camera as it's a bit dated now, got another Honor with AI technology and that's amazing.Absolutely recommend this phone and the Honor brand, I'm a big fan - got the ear buds and sports band from them, it's really good value for money!!
