biOrb Ceramic Filter Media - 1kg Biological Filtration Substrate

A substrate suitable for any aquarium, which looks good. Although described as 1kg, I only received a 450g pack. Error reported to Amazon and a 2nd pack sent f.o.c. next day, therefore cannot fault the service from Amazon, but item description needs to be updated. Advisable to rinse it before putting in aquarium. Useful hint - rinse it through in something like a colander. The few small fragments, less than 5mm which they recommend should be discarded and not put in the aquarium, will wash down to the bottom.

Ideal for large or small tank , remember to rinse in used tank water Never use tap water without the conditioner or tank booster of friendly bacteria to fill the pourus rocks with , they prevent grey clouding , rinse sponges on old tank water to keep friendly bacteria build up .

My fish tank biorb 60litre requires this ceramic media . This box I purchased happened to be so much better than the ones I bought at various times from a well know pet shop, as all too small and crumbly and blocked the filter even after rinsing . Puzzling they were also biorb brand though ?? So much better value for me .

I think most of negative reviews read the instructions wrong the minimum size pieces you can use is 5mm not 5cm and 99% of the 3 bags I bought were bigger then that

Many filter media look just like a filter media. This is the only ceramic filtration media that actually look like a loose rock. Very appealing in a fish tank and actually have valuable function as the filtration media inside an aquarium. You do not need to own a Biorb tank to use this ceramic material. It look good sitting at the bottom of any tank out there and will grow millons of bacteria that neutralize fish waste in your tank.
