A most useful tool to keep handy!
This screwdriver acts as like a phase tester, to check for live mains wires, make sure power is really off. Can also function as continuity tester to check what wires are connected/check for breakages. For the price an essential item.

Effective as not dead
While there are far better ways of testing for live/dead circuits, these are simple, effective and convenient to carry. Managed not to blow myself up yet by playing with unexpectedly live circuits so must be fairly reliable. Very convenient for testing fuse continuity aswell. Bright LED compared to some others.

Good voltage tester but bulb could be brighter
I bought this for checking the safety of the mains electrics before changing plug sockets at home and also changing a shower pull cord. Whilst the light does activate when live electricity is nearby, the light is not terribly bright so you really do need to play close attention. It does work well, but a brighter light would make it a much better product in my opinion, hence only 4 stars

Great quality, amazing value for moneyIt allows you to:- check for voltage in contactless way - e.g. you can hold it next to cable, device etc and see if it's turned on (led will turn on)- you can check if there's electricity in contactess way (you don't need to touch with your finger at all (like you need in old fashined ones)

Useful, But Can Be Temperamental
The media could not be loaded. This is a cheap and useful little tool to have.I found it worked well sometimes, but can be a little temperamental. For example, I checked a fuse and the light showed bright red. I try again two seconds later and the light is faint or does not even show.I bought this to check car fuses and for that, it's not too reliable. It wasn't too great with batteries either, but did seem to work well with wall sockets and some other electrical connections.
