What’s up with these pliers? The jaws do not even come close to lining up with each other. Anyone else have this anomaly?

I'm not sure what your problem is. They take filters off of the engine. I've been using them for about 10 to 15 years. The teeth and pivot area tend to wear out after about 6,000 or so filters, so I buy a new one for each shop every 2 or 3 years.

can this be used on oil filler cap thats stuck ?

Yes, thats the type of thing it is great for. I’ve even used it to pull and tighten a chain link fence .

Would this work to remove RO membrane housing 3 " cap?

By RO I’m guessing you mean reverse osmosis? I don’t know the torque on that fitting but it would fit a 3 inch diameter fitting. It is good for torques found on oil filters and food jars.

Útil, parece de calidad

Funciona bien, tiene 3 posiciones para filtros más grandes, lo he usado en la pequeña y sin problemas. Tiene un ligero ángulo para facilitar su uso. El mango está recubierto de goma y se limpia bastante bien con un trapo para quitar el aceite. Lo recomiendo.

Cumple su función

Esta excelente te facilita mucho aflojar y apretar el filtro, aunque por lo forma que tiene, chequen que haya espacio en dónde esta el motor puesto que en el mío fue difícil ya que el filtro quedaba en un lugar donde esta herramienta era difícil hacerla girar.
