What is the width of plastic edge as i only have a gap of a few centimetres from soil pipe to wall so i can fit to floor?

I would say that you need to allow for around 35mm - 40mm from the soil pipe to the Wall/Floor.You could reduce this slightly if you trimmed the collar edge down a bit - Opposite where it joins together !!!Then fit it with the flat edge against the Wall/Floor.Whilst these collars are fairly flexible - I would not recommend trimming down too much.Hope that helps someway to answer your question.

can it be used on an outside wall?

Yes,, I ordered a black, and a white one .........Black for the outside and white for the toilet inside,,,,,,, No problems fixing it........

Will this fit round a flexible concertina type soil pipe?
