Bought these for several years - for the cot, single bed, then double bed as the kids want more spaceThey make NO SOUND, are soft, fit well and WORK - no moisture gets through. Perfect.

Unlike some waterproof mattress covers this is not hot abs sweaty or crinkly. It is study, cool and comfortable. Great price and value for money. I bought an expensive Tempur one last year and this is almost as good.

Lovely product.No leaks so far.Very stretchy and fits our European single mattresses with room to spare.Elasticated sides make sure the fit looks good even when there is extra material (like on a thinner mattress as aposed to a thicker one).The sides of the sheet are not waterproof, but this is a good thing as this allows the sides to be much more flexible and stretchy to fit whatever mattress depth you have.Top of sheet does not feel plastic-like or clammy. It is soft and smooth and my daughters had no complaints from when I switched from normal sheets to these.For the price I paid I would say it offers fair value for money. I knocked 1 star off just as I felt the quality wasn't totally amazing, but overall value is great.

I've tried a few different mattress toppers to find something comforatable and this is the best I've found. Breathable, sweat proof (no mattress stains!), washable and fits well.

Bought this a year ago for my son’s bed and have just repurchased for the spare room. Really good product. It is fully waterproof and is fully breathable. My son is always very comfortable on it and it is not noisy like some waterproof protectors. Very good product. Thanks.

Seems to be leak proof and no complaints

I am so pleased with this product - it was really put to the test by my daughter who has had a stroke, she had a very bad night but this did exactly what it said it would. It saved the mattress, it washed well, it is very soft and no noise when you move (I tested it myself).

I've had this for two years now and today, having had a disturbed night's sleep due to sweating, I thought I'd write a review. There seem to be a lot of positive reviewers praising this product's breathability, but to my mind there is a very high degree of subjectivity involved in those conclusions....First, stand back and ask yourself this question: how much would a piece of Gore-Tex the size of a double bed cost? I've never seen a Gore-Tex jacket, even in the sales, at less than say £100. Maybe you have. But also the amount of material in a jacket is less than a king double bed cover. yet this Velfont king double bed breathable/waterproof cover costs <£20. Does that not beg a question? It suggests to me that the breathability performance is worse than Gore Tex....and yet the bed cover has to operate in a much tougher place - sandwiched with no air gaps between mattress and sheet, and no air gap between sheet and body....whereas the Gore Tex jacket has air on both sides of the Gore Tex material.There's no magic in the world, this bed cover performs worse than Gore Tex. Readers familiar with the performance of Gore Tex will know it itself isn't perfect...Subjectivity? I'm male, no medication, standard toxicities of a bit of alcohol, red meat etc. and - to my perception - no sweatier than the next 41yr old man! But worth saying the cover has the same sweaty effect on my female partner. We've been using the mattress cover on an all natural material mattress from Millbrook, and 100% cotton bedsheet on top of the mattress cover. (Cotton duvet cover, and natural feather duvet on top of us).We gave up on the Velfont cover some time ago because of the confusing (for a 'breathable' product) night sweatiness. Recently, our non-waterproof, but breathable man-made mattress cover/protector (padded), has been used, with no additional sweatiness. So, by a process of elimination - with no other inputs/influences changed - the last two nights of sweatiness are the result of using this Velfont mattress cover again (while our other mattress protector is in the laundry).Conclusion. This product isn't high specification breathable and waterproof material (like eg Gore Tex), so I suggest not expecting it to perform anywhere near as well. For me the sweating is so bad I can't see myself using it again.That said I have no complaints about the waterproof/protective nature of the cover - sweat/moisture does not seem to leak through to the mattress.Hope this review helps moderate expectations.
