Continuing the excellent remaster up to the end of the Cell sagas. Nothing to complain about - if you like DBZ, you should like this, unless you are just crazy about the filler content from the original version of the anime.

Awesome series loved every minuet of it hopefully they'll release the fifth season so i can complete my collection.

This series is split into two sections:Section one) "Dragon Ball Z Kai" which consists of four seasons that are comprised of episodes 1-98.Each season is £24.99 which comes to £99.96 if you buy all of them.Section two) "Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters" which consists of three parts that are comprised of episodes 99-167.You can buy all three parts in one box set for £89.99 which is actually cheaper than buying each chapter individually because they're charging each part between £35-£40.At the time of writing this comes to a total of £189.95 if you wish to own the full series.If you can get past the price then this is a great buy... For the most part."Dragon Ball Z Kai" is the series remastered but is still in it's original 4:3 aspect ratio.The only extras you get from this purchase are some interviews with the US cast in the Season 2 extras."Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters" has the aspect ratio of 16:9 and they did this by zooming in the show until the sides of the show touched the edge of the T.V. This means there is a little area that is cropped from the top and bottom of the screen and there is no way of changing this.The only extras with these are three video commentaries from the US cast for the episodes 112, 131 and 157.Overall you'll be paying a lot of money for a series and not much else but if you're only after the series that this is great for the quality alone.

The Cell Games is the climax of the Androids and Cell sagas, and as entertaining as the fights are, I felt that this seasons pacing is up and down. The beginning is brilliant, with Vegeta and Trunks showcasing their new Super Saiyan powers, but upon Cells completion and his announcement of the Cell Games, there's a bit of a lull in narrative. The tournament itself is entertaining and gives all of the characters moments to shine, but considering this is the revised version of Z, its definitely the slowest paced of the seasons.Still worth buying as it eliminates much of the duller filler moments. Also, the animation is improved as before Kai, there'd be one animation team/director working on a single episode which in some cases would have boring, terrible animation, however the abridging of the series means multiple episodes have been cut together in some cases, which prevents a full episode of terrible quality animation!

Cover was cracked otherwise it was fine.

Even though the region code stated on the back cover is B, the discs play fine on Region A players. According to the profile page on blu-ray.com, this SKU is region free! This is great news for North American fans as it is very difficult, even impossible, to find a Region A copy at a reasonable price. Strangely, the Region A back cover states that the discs play on both Region A or B machines.In summary, DBZ Kai Chapter 4 covers the entire Cell Games arc, but compresses it down to 21 episodes. The original run of the Cell Games arc ran for 29 episodes (Episodes 166-194).The voice acting in the English dub is fantastic and is highly recommended. The Japanese voices are available as well for purists.
