Works for roasting coffee
I roast a pound of coffee at a time. My heat source is a Master Appliance heat gun, 14.5 amps. Coffee beans are in a close-fitting screen mesh colander in a stainless steel bowl. Until now, I used wire-end thermocouples, with the wire end woven through the screen. I like the solid end better. Again, I enlarged a couple of holes in the wire mesh and poked the solid end through the holes. (The photo shows the thermocouple in the corner of the colander.) Compared to the wire-end thermocouples, the solid end readout is much more stable, sort of an average temperature, which seems more useful. So I am very happy with this thermocouple for this application.

Works for coffee roaster
Inexpensive and seems to take accurate temperature without issue. Using on a coffee roaster. Fresh Roast, drilled a hole through glass chamber with diamond bit.
User
Seems accurate within a degree, but can be slow to adjust
Put all three probes on a data logger. They seem to eventually reach the same temperature, within +/- one degree F. But the three probes have different response characteristics with respect to noise and time to reach equilibrium with ambient temperature.Smaller (not as thick) as expected. Should've read the dimensions more carefully.

Well Built and Accurate
I bought these as a replacement for the probes supplied with the meter. Those probes were flimsy and inconsistent. The two did not read nearly the same as each other. These probes are accurate and stable with nearly identical reading when measuring the same location.
User
Reliable and accurate!
These are great! Very robust tips and extremely accurate (tested boiling and freezing point of water).

I probably have a bad reader, because this thing doesn’t like reading temps.
I have this thing going through my multimeters multifunction adapter and into a cheap multimeter. It reads room temperature until most of the metal shroud is immersed in something or a heat is applied nearly at the cable.I don’t know if this is meant to be an immersion thermocouple or what, but I did buy it for point contact heat reading on my soldering iron— a task it’s not suited well for— which might not be a task it was built for.I have no complaints about the item, I may need better tools to use it.

Accurate, easy to use.
Nice item. Works, Expecially like the metal wrapped cable for the k-type probe.
User
Excellent product in performance, build an price.
Very nice temperature sensors. Quality build. Will buy more.Output same between units.
User
bad quality
Not working. It is open.
User
