Love this product!
So versatile, either hotshoe or used either on the hotshoe or on the supplied stand in a remote mode, fired in response to the cameras own flash. Tilting head for bouncing light, built in deflector and defuser lense for softer results. You can change the dwell settings, to give brighter or softer results, I'd recommend practicing before you actually need a good shot. There's no zoom on the flash unit, that's the only issue, but a great unit at the price. I bought a battery charger and rechargeable batteries, although the power usage is quite economical.

Seems like a really good quality flash for the price
Seems like a really good quality flash for the price. This is the first time we have used an external flash, and didn’t want to spend too much. This seemed like a great choice to try out.The sync between camera seems great. Buttons and adjusting the flash for brightness/speed very intuitive. Flash can tilt as well as rotate to give different lighting affects on subject.Would recommend for first external flash for everyday user.

so working out the features on the flash are pretty much down to your own intuition
Ok, so when it comes to Flash photography, I'm a bit of a noob. But, this flash has taught me much, all of which, I have worked out for myself. A lot of which might not be accurate (happy for more experienced Flash users to educate me via the comments, I have googled and scoured the forums but I'm none the wiser).First up, the manual is in Chingrish, so working out the features on the flash are pretty much down to your own intuition.eg 'Press the 'wireless select button', can make flash into the S1, S2 mode, these two modes suited as from the machine auxiliary lamp role to create a variety of lighting effects' -?Second I'm using this with a Canon 600d.I think it's fair to say that the flash is only partially compatible with the 600d. When you enter the flash settings on the Canon Menu, you're going to be greeted with 'flash is not compatible' messages when you try and adjust any settings. I understand that this is because the flash doesn't support TTL measuring. # citation needed - :)I'm not convinced it does any measuring of it's own. It'll over expose if set too high, and vice versa.Although the flash has 4 modes, M, Multi, S1 and S2 they all seem to do pretty much the same thing.Despite the lovely large green professional looking display, you have manual control over very little. The flash power output being it.The flash is set to 1/128 out of the box, which I understand means 128th of full power. Messing about between 1/1 and 1/128 you can see a difference in the light output, and there's a satisfying little 'pop' on 1/1 (full power). The flash states is set for 35mm, and this is constant on the display that you can't adjust, to remind you, you've bought the cheap one. However, I've been using it at much higher lens distances and (adjusting the flash power output). I managed to get good results (without using the diffuser) from much longer focal lengths (Using a Tamron 18-270) it's good up to 20m plus, even in pitch dark. I just manually set focus and stood in my back garden and got the bricks from a neighbours house on 1/1 flash power, ISO 400 1/20 @ 270mm.On the plus points, the flash is very well made, it does feel like a much more expensive unit, the flash output is excellent. There's a handy diffuser and reflector that slides neatly into a recess, it comes in a lovely little bag and it looks professional. Unless you are a professional, one would assume. For the price though one shouldn't complain, even though it looks like I have.

Amazing value flash
I had to purchase this quickly as my trusty Nikon SB900 finally gave up. I cannot believe how good this flash is - it saved my bacon for the wedding I had to take. What I wasn't prepared for was the quality of the images and the power. This is a game changer and I recommend this flash totally. I'm a professional wedding photographer and I am stunned at how good the flash is for the pittance I paid

Must have for amateur photographers.
I'm not a proffesional photographer it's just something I do as a hobby and for me this is perfect. A little bit of knowledge is needed to get the best results as this is a fully manual flash and does not communicate with the camera other than to sync the flash. Exposure settings etc. need to be adjusted to avoid over exposed shots. That said, with a little bit of trial and error you can get some pretty decent results with this even in daylight. One thing I will say is that this gives better results if you "bounce" the flash off a wall or ceiling however I would imagine this would be the case for all speedlights. Overall very pleased.

Better than expected!
Great for the price, does it's job. There are better quality but not near this price, and if you never got one before, a flash is a gamechanger! So better buy a cheap one and be surprised at the quality, than using none at all!
