Q: Is this a vegan product? Is the Lanolin synthesic? If not it is not vegan nor cruelty free despite what people will tell you.

I have used this for years. My Mother would get orders for Rose bud Salve and this. I don't know about the Lanolin but I trust this company completely because it has been a part of my life for many years. I use this on my lips before I go to bed at night and never have to use it again until late afternoon the next day. I love it.

The best lip balm i've ever used

The best lip balm i've ever used, first discovered it in New York 7 years ago and have used it ever since. Costs a small fortune compared to some others but totally worth it. Hope it never discontinued because I would be devastated.

Nice but a little overpriced

This is a really nice product, smooth, nice fragrance and lasts quite well. I’m not sure it is worth the price though as Vaseline does just as good a job for a fraction of the cost. Price is why I couldn’t give it 5 stars.

Proceed with Caution...

Despite loving the original Smith's Rosebud Salve, this one I found to be a disaster. The scent is overpowering and cheap and the product does not moisturise nearly as well. Worse than that, I think I am allergic to it as I now have itchy lips and spots around the edge of my lips! Needless to say I have returned the product and will stick to the original one. Or even better, the divine Clarins lip balm...
