A Cat Scratcher that they use!
I'd bought a previous shape (the slope which has a flat inset which you can buy refills for, I think) for considerably more money but was impressed that the cats actually used it -so often you buy these things and the cats just sit and look at you and it, as if to say "you want me to use this, for what, exactly?". So when this one came in at a very low price, thought it was worth a try and, boy, was I right. Good job it is cheap though, since the wrecking ball that is Felix has virtually demolished the curvy side (and likes to sleep leaning on it for some reason) but at that sort of money and the fact that he hasn't been damaging the furniture, still worth every penny and, of course, I can turn it over for him to wreak havoc on the other side so it will last a while.

The cats love it! Ideal for kitten - bit small for an adult cat
For a very small scratching mat this makes one hell of a mess!! I bought this for my kitten who absolutely loves it, but shredded it to pieces within a week. He also likes to chew the corners. The floor is constantly covered in flakes of cardboard. My older cat also loves it but she's far too big for it. They go crazy for the catnip.After 2 months of use I've binned this one and bought a bigger one which I had previously as it didn't seem to make as much mess and the cats will be able to lounge on it.

Good for kittens
I just got a kitten this week and needed some suitable toys for him. I ordered this product knowing what to expect, as I had recently been researching handmade cat scratcher toys. It's made of corrugated cardboard stuck together and shaped. It makes for a great scratching toy because of the grooves in the cardboard. The size of it isn't too suitable for fully grown cats to sit on, but of course we all know, cats will do whatever they please. I would recommend it for kittens mostly but if you need a cheap alternative to a scratching poll, this would do the job for most cats. It's cheap, light weight and easy to store. It also comes with a small bag of catnip which is a bonus if your cat enjoys it.

My cat loves it. I'm gonna have to buy another one cause the 1st one is completely worn. Every time she comes in the living room she goes and sit on it for a while, she uses it as a scratching pad too and when she plays, she runs around the flat like mad and jumps back on it...So why not 5 stars? There is no sealed bottom on the tray. Why is it a problem? Well, if you pour the catnip in it it'll go straight through... on the floor... not ideal! However, the tray comes in a thick plastic bag, so what I did was to cut a piece of it and taped it over the bottom. Problem solved!

My cats love this scratcher. I was a little surprised that it was a bit smaller than I thought but then again it is an excellent price. The cats don't mind the size at all. They want to scratch everything and they manage to scratch it really well and the scratchers saves my sofa.It arrived with a little catnip and they were going mad about it. I since bought them a catnip plant for the garden too - they love it!The only thing is it makes a bit of a mess when they scratch it to bits. But if you have pets you don't mind. The pleasure watching them playing makes up for it. I sometimes put the scratcher into a cardboard box to stop the bits flying everywhere.My cats fight over it. As you can see in the picture the winner makes sure nobody else can get to it by using it as a pillow. Second picture shows lots of scratches.

better than scratched furniture!
The cats love it, but it does create a fine mess on the floor everyday. Better than scratched furniture though. The last one I bought was in a circular bowl shape.Which was much better. It kept the bits inside until I emptied it every day. Plus one of my cats loved to sleep in it. Preferable to rope bound ones, which seem to disintegrate quite quickly, leaving you with parts of the item that were still as good as new, but had to be thrown away. Also totally re recyclable. All in all, a good product.

CHECK THE SIZE BEFORE YOU BUY
Unfortunately, I didn't scroll down far enough to check the dimensions, just assuming it was the same size as others I have bought. As my cat likes to use it as a day bed as well as a scratching pad, it really wasn't big enough and he overlapped the side considerably.
