Really high quality writing instrument! Barrel is a matte finish but not a coarse surface, making it easy to hold at whatever position you want. The retraction mechanism is smooth and firm without being tight. The pen is long enough to have a good balance, and just the right weight for me. The ink flows smoothly and I can bear down hard if I need to make a "carbon copy" in my checkbook. The .5mm tip is just right to make my handwriting readable without thick lines. Body colors are contemporary and look good as a business accessory for those among us who can still write in cursive. Very satisfying.

The first pen that I really noticed back in the 80's was a gel pen (Uniball). After using cheap Bic pens with oil based inks all my life, the Gel pen was so much smoother and the water based ink flowed much better on the paper. I never touched a regular ball point pen again. I few years ago I switched to fountain pens but I never lost my appreciation for a good Gel pen. I was asked to review these pens and I was hoping that I wouldn't be disappointed. First impression is they are a really beautiful set with complimentary pastel colors and a great box for presentation. The pens are like the retractable ball point pens that are made by everyone else, but they are a top quality pen with a soft grip and a designer pocket clip. The writing is smooth and comfortable, although I prefer a wider point for everyday use, the fine tip would be perfect for more technical writing. The cost is $7.85 for a matched set of 5 pens and 5 refill cartrages making this a perfect stocking stuffer for Christmas. Great value.

These pens are so perfect for taking notes and journaling! The ink doesn’t smudge and I love the different colors of pens! They are great!

The weight feels comfortably balanced, the texture of your he pen is pleasing, as is the exterior color palette, it writes smoothly, the width of the pen is comfortable for arthritic hands, and last it comes with refills. Glad I bought them.

These pens are honestly look and feel great. They write very smooth - overall very high quality feeling. It’s important to note, though, that they are all black ink pens. Somehow I missed that in the description and title so I was expecting colored ink pens and was disappointed when I realized they weren’t. Not sure if I was the only one that happened to, but I think the packaging was just a bit deceiving.

Pens are my jam and I love buying new ones to try. I’m kind of a pen snob & am pretty particular on what I like to use. These are awesome, I love the way the outside feels, love the roller ball fidget. To be honest, the ink took a bit to grow on me- but it’s what I’m using daily right now & have grown to prefer it over some other pens.
