Was comparing a pair from my recent purchase and a pair from a couple years ago, they've been slowly reducing the cotton material and replacing it with polyester. The body has remain the same as 100% cotton, but the other parts have been completely wiped of cotton and are now just polyester. Probably why the elastic has been bad on them, oldest pair had more cotton and didn't have issues with the elastic band bunching up
