Got this for the son as hes a zoo keeper and he tells me it works fine and its well made with a sharp knife

This cutter is designed for open taped boxes, and it does it really well, but you need to take the time to learn the technique unfortunately.You put the 'pointy' end where the tape is then you have to angle it correctly (this is the secret) before you pull it along to cut the tape.My first couple of attempt were a disaster and I nearly just threw it away, now I wouldn't be without it !My wife refuses to open boxes with scissors or a knife, now she usually beats me to use this tool to open boxes.I got it because I have cut myself both with a knife and scissors trying to open boxes in the past, OK you should use protective gloves but they aren't always to hand (pun intended !), now you can just pick this up and open a box, no problem.A good thing to note is that you can also buy spare blades on Amazon too, I have purchased mine already, but I think the blade will last a good long time before I need to use them.Full instructions or, better still a video, would stop all the negative comments about this tool in my opinion, as it is not obvious how to use it correctly.Gets 5 stars from me anyway.

Well made product. Good thing is that the blade rotates on its on, so you always have a nice cut.

Got 2 delivered first one blade snapped within 2 days of use second one lasted 3 days were useless didn’t even last a week

Works fine. We are using it to cut open about plastic 15 sacks per day for our church boiler and it is far easier and quicker to whip this across the top of the sack than to faff around using a pair of scissors.Update: The wheel has started to corrode and no longer cuts now. If anyone knows where to get new ones, I'd be grateful if they would pass on that info.

The round blades are way to fin.plz make them thicker so they dont snap so easily.

I like draper tools but this. Nope it no good for warehouse work, the hook part snapped and I left with something the looked like a pizza cutter. Length to was long. Actual fish hook cutters I prefer I had one that was very sturdy before and this was absolutely rubbish , probably good if to open home delivery boxes now and then.
