BOURNE HIGHSLEEPER BED - WHITE M1610W

Great sturdy bed, plenty of floor space saved due to incorporated wardrobe, draws and desk. A real hit. A bastard to build though - took my wife and i 5 painful hours to finish. Thumbs up!

Very sturdy bed take around 5-6 hours to assemble only needs 2 people with common sense to assemble this bed unlike other reviews stating you need 3-4 people u do not. Very good quality only given 4 stars as wardrobe above drawers isn't high enough to hang anything in but other than that brilliant bed meets all our needs.

Took two of us approximately 6 hours to put together (plus a bit of extra time for the trim - which was a pain to put on). Came in four flat boxes. Delivery was at the end of estimated time but courier was extremely helpful calling the day before and working his route around when I would be in. Boxes were even labelled to show which had the instructions in. The pieces were well packaged and labelled clearly. You are instructed to prepare most of the pieces first (putting in dowels and brackets) so they could be lined up easily for construction. The instructions were extremely clear (albeit we have ended up with one piece back to front which isn't a total disaster). We followed other reviewers advice ensuring we could access behind and to the sides. We also didn't put the back on the wardrobe which another reviewer suggested therefore leaving some extra storage space. We have also drilled a hole for cabling through the back of the desk as this is something that I feel would have been useful. The trim was a pain to put on and it's not the easiest to climb in and out of but my 7 year old is getting the hang of it. I can see it is going to be challenging to change the bed for people like me who are somewhat vertically challenged but it would be the same with normal bunks. It looks lovely and my daughter is thrilled with it. Worth the money.

All around good and solid. Draws railing plastic not to strong and silver strip at the top where you get in a bed always falls downs, no fixing. Few visible places not covered with colours. My girl love it, and she's happy. All I need 😊

If you have nothing to do for the whole weekend except put this together, it's great. I'm not looking forward to moving, because that means I will have to take it apart, and the instructions were scratched together by chickens. Put the thing together, and had one big piece missing, but I found out where it went. If you have trouble with IKEA instructions, you will have a hard time putting this together. The instructions were not orginal, but some crap photocopy.

Was sceptical about buying this bed for my 11 year old after reading that the structure wobbled. It doesn't at all. Maybe certain parts were not put together properly? Be careful not to do what my husband did and measure the wall of my daughter's room and order this bed if you don't have a gap at the end of the bed in the room. This bed was nearly the exact size as the width we wanted it to fit into and because of this (obviously now) he couldn't slide it into the gap or make it up within the gap as couldn't screw the end section on. I would say measure the gap and if there's an end wall make sure there's at least a foot extra of space and build the unit in the space.
