Braces thumb from the top mostly
I'll try to keep this short as I've still got bad hand -1 finger typing. So I got this because of trigger thumb issue. Can't bring my thumb back or forward to grasp or in certain twisting ways. The brace works well for 90% of the time unless I forget and over do it with the extension of my thumb.Brace has a few metal bars down the thumb, if on the hand correctly, it'll be either side of the thumb with the thumb pointing forward and atop of the hand, parallel with the wrist and arm.It works by gently stopping you from rotating the thumb left and right, as well as bringing back up too far. There is resistance bringing it forward to grasp, but depending on how tight you have it can easily be overcome. There is very little wrist support so it's easy to move the hand if you still have movement access in the rest of the fingers, something I thankfully do. As long as I make an effort not to use my thumb, the brace works well with the rest of the hand being used as little as possible.Straps work good and allow a lot of control where pressure is placed on the tendons.I normally wear a size 2XL motorcycle glove and I can wear it constantly throughout the day without an issue, comfort is good for me with large hands. The Velcro on the thumb strap is small amount and at the very end. It wraps around my thumb easily, but I can imagine if I had smaller thumbs it might get caught and easily snagged off as there would be quite a large ridge - as one of the pictures someone else posted showed. Not had it as an issue for me though.Bedtime use is really good, first few nights getting used to it brushing against me, but has now stopped me from waking up in pain from hurting it during sleep. So I'm actually getting some sleep now.Pretty good product, it's not going to fix my thumb unfortunately but it's helping me from being in additional pain and doing more damage. If you don't need the wrist support, and your thumb need basic support from moving sideways or backwards, it's probably going to work for you.Good luck, hope you heal up if it works for you.

Works Well
Very comfortable feel to it. Although it's snug fitting, I can still use the fingers and thumb for some tasks. My only criticism is that the part that goes over the thumb needs to be longer as it keeps on slipping out from under the strap that supports the thumb and needs adjusting quite often, depending on how much I move my hand. All in all it seems to help my particular condition and limits the movement of the thumb and hand well.

Good fit except the thumb.
I needed this due to needing extra thumb support. It does exactly what it claims and really does work well. The only down side is if your need to use your hand whilst using it. The thumb velcro strap loops around and affixes to itself which easily slips up and away from where its intended to sit.Still it is good when resting the hand and does really help.

Velcro strap shortage around thumb.
For the price I paid I wasn't expecting much but mostly it was worth the money the only problem I have is the velcro strap around the thumb isn't long enough because it comes undone to easily I think the problem lies with the two metal part's that surport the thumb could be making the velcro come undone instead of one strap going round the thumb could they make two straps to go round the thumb yes the cost of making it could go up but it's annoying when the strap comes undone and it's not doing the job intended.

It's doing what it's supposed to do
I've had a stiff thumb for 2 months now , the spika is now working and flexing of the thumb and knuckle is returning.
