Everbuild 501 Universal PVA Bond – General Purpose Bonding Agent – 5 Litre

I live in a house that has very bad plaster, walls, ceiling , the whole lot and ideally it needs taking off and redoing but this isn’t an option right now. The previous people tried papering but it was hanging off because the plaster absorbs the paste. I have always used another brand for sealing bad plaster, which is good albeit a little watery and can be messy, but that was out of our budget. I saw this mentioned by someone in the trade on a forum and thought I’d give it a go. First impressions are is that it is like ultra thick pva wood glue which I’ve also used before. I have to say that I am really very impressed. It’s much thicker than what I’m used to, almost the consistency of a good quality emulsion and because of this it’s less messy. I watered it down 1-2 so a little goes a long way. I got 5litre bottle, the other brand is a 5 litre tin, but this will stretch twice as far and cost a third as much.

Buying the 5ltr size is a lot cheaper than buying smaller bottles. Can't comment on the glue element, as I have been using it as a acrylic pouring medium. It's working for that use perfectly. I would definitely buy this again when I run low.

Used this to seal the bare cement flooring in my garage, diluted with water, it didn't take long to dry and remain tacky. Have lots to spare so will use again soon for other projects.

I'm well impressed with this PVA Bond. It has worked perfectly to prime my walls ready for painting. Easy to apply. This will also help seal my wall where there's a bit of damp. It is very good value for money for this 5L tub. Well recommended.

Needed to prime walls before wallpaper as old Victorian plaster, has been emulsion painted under paper and paint flaking/coming off with old paper.. This was cheapest via Amazon due to Black Friday price and free delivery on total order made

I bought this to seal the OSB boards on my shed floor before I put vinyl flooring down. I found that the mixture was adequate for the use I wanted. I also sealed my plaster board before I painted on the board so that it would not soak in. It worked great on both occasions and it was not expensive.
