Please note that the clay does not come packaged in the containers shown in the picture, instead, they come in tiny plastic bags, that once ripped are unusable, hence the plastic containers. This was a definite downside to the set, as once opened, the clay dries out quickly and sets and without little plastic pots to store them in, as you get with modelling dough, this clay will be wasted quite quickly. I luckily had some spare containers, but unfortunately, although I placed the colours carefully, they still all stuck together in a clump inside. The other downside was the very dowdy brown box and the choice of blue and green colouring on the seascape-designed sleeve. Inside were such nicer colours, it seemed a wasted opportunity when the packaging could have been made so much more attractive. The upside to this pack, was the contents inside, not only were there lots of clay colours but there were utensils for sculpting, pipe cleaners, boards, pom poms, lolly sticks and googly eyes and also some great stringy green paper that we used as scary hair for the beasts we created :) Overall, a nice set of clay and craft items, just a shame the clay did not have little pots to store properly..hence the 4-star rating.

This clay set comes in a nicely decorated bright box which would make it a great present.

I enjoy creating with air dry clay, though I usually choose something like Das, and this was a completely different experience. This clay is soft, stretchy, easy to manipulate and very sticky. As soon as you add one piece to another, that's it, it's stuck - which is a bit frustrating if you didn't quite place the bit you want right first time but great if you're putting together a mini sculpture! I also found it difficult to really smooth over any cracks or gaps.I loved all of the bright colour options and there are lots of creative opportunities with the colour blending feature of this clay. There's very little mess, which is a bonus - no residue left on your hands and easy to clean up if you use a silicone mat or old chopping board.For me, some of the included accessories were a little odd (rafite?) but I'm sure children would love experimenting with the different textures.Overall, this is a great set for creative children to enjoy, with lots of imaginative options and little mess.

Simple to use. The packets are wet feeling when you open them and they dry like foam. Simple to crate ideas and they figures do last when dry. They are fragile though like a hard foam.

The media could not be loaded.  The set itself is nice - lovely bright colours, and the "clay" lumps are very light, and more suitable for children.It comes with a few bits to add, like the pipe cleaners and googley eyes, which is always nice, it adds more interesting bits so children can get really creative. Nice and pliable, easy for little fingers (my niece had a quick go and found the consistency easy enough).However, the grammar on the instructions really lets it down - very poor wording/spelling, such a shame when this would make a great gift otherwise.

We had great fun using this at home with ages 14-47. The clay was good and there were some nice ideas. THe tools were ok, but with a few of us we did end up using some other household items as tools too. But if it was just one of you, it would be fine.

This modelling clay is fabulous, very soft and easy for children to mould. The colours are appealing, bright and plentiful.The instructions are easy to follow and clear but to be honest you just do your own thing and make what ever you want. There are lots of accessories to add to your creations and plenty of tools for shaping.The only thing you really need to be aware of is you must repackage any left over clay so that it doesn’t harden. I’ve actually bought some small, cheap air tight tubs to use.It also needs to air dry for about 24 hours.I used a silicone mat underneath the clay to save my table but it wasn’t too messy.

Really love this set, there is so much included in it and it's great fun for all ages I think. Gives you a lot of colours and they mix into each really well - they stick to each other like glue, so you won't have to worry about them being unstuck while air drying them. They don't leave any residue and is soft and stretchy - you really don't need to put a lot of strength into it. The smell is what you would expect from normal clay and doesn't leave too much of a scent on your hands, but wash your hands to make sure.
