Brilliant, very happy with purchase
This is a lightweight music stand. Though it’s also robust and a big jump from the usual flimsy designs of music stands. It’s exceptionally easy to assemble & adjust. The base has a good wide reach so would not topple easily. I’m not sure what version of music stand the negative reviewers received or if it’s been modified since. However, I can say what I got in post is a brilliant little transportable stand. Able to hold a heavy music folder without fear of collapse. The metal arms secure the sheets or body of folders no problem. The bag is well made & much appreciated. This is a fraction of cost of other designs & the quality is more than satisfactory. I have recommended this to my music students 🎶

Pretty good overall
It's hard to argue with the price on this one, and overall it is very good. Fairly sturdy, folds away nicely and comes with a carry bag.My one complaint would be that the spring clips that keeps e.g. books open seem fairly flimsy and I think it's only a matter of time before they break on mine. This is the tradeoff for such a light stand though. As a whole it is very light and compact. Adjusting the stand, both with respect to height and angle, is quick and easy, and can be easily done while sitting down in front of it.

Very lightweight and easy to assemble
I absolutely love this music stand. I have had the traditional heavyweight stand for many years and as I’m getting older it’s time to cut down on the amount of weight when carrying my musical equipment. It’s exceptionally easy to put together as well, it doesn’t have the usual screws at the adjustment sites. It has a flick lever (don’t know the technical term), and that is far more suitable for my arthritic hands than the usual screws. It has a good range of height so could be lowered for sitting down musicians or raised for standing up. If putting heavy books on it, I do have to be very careful and if I was ever to need to use it outdoors it might need some kind of guy rope system if it was windy. But if you just want a light weight and easy to put together music stand then I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Not that stable
Light and compact but that also has a problem re stability. Would not like to put anything too heavy on it and the actual music platform is small for normal music and scores. Could easily be knocked over - though has it's place if looking for a compact light stand.

A great little music stand.
A great little music stand. The plate that holds the music is plastic (not metal) and is quite small so ideal for a single book of music rather than several pages opened out. But this is exactly what I want for my music books and playing the guitar. The quick release adjusters are great for extending the stand to the right height. Well worth the money. Not the heaviest stand but a wonderful , lightweight folding music stand which fits easily into a small case. Perfect for me

Lightweight music stand
Our little group are doing more and more gigs and we seem to need more and more equipment in order to play, I now have a rucksack full of gear and it was getting heavy, so I thought I would give the lightweight stand a go and its great!! the platform is not so big as the Tiger metal stand and it is not so stable, but it is so easy to carry and assemble and works a treat. More members og our group are now getting this version and all like it.

Good stand for the travelling musician
I purchased this to replace a lightweight fold up stand that was just too light and flimsy (there's a load of them out there by different manufacturers, they typically sell for around $12).This stand is heavier and has a much better desk and provides more support and security.I only knocked one star off as the plastic tabs that you pull out to adjust the height are a bit cheesy and seem like they might break if you are not careful pulling them out.The wire sheet holders are also a bit wacky but actually work quite well and if you don't like them just take them off and use a big binder clip instead. The bag is nice and makes it easy to take to gigs.

Clasps don’t do their job, doesn’t stay up
The concept of this stand is great. However, it’s only good for single sheet music....not books or compilations of music.I’ve had this stand for just under 2 years....after just 6 months, the top clasp would no longer keep/hold the height of the stand and it would slide down....soon after the same thing happened to the bottom clasp. And I only had a very light things placed on the stand.I cannot see anyway to tighten these claps to retain the height required.I’ve contacted the seller to inform them of this....I’ve been preoccupied with having a baby.
