when it arrived i thought it was way too small for my piggie as he is very large for a guinea pig... but he folds somehow and really spends time laying in this toiletI bought it as a secondary toilet as he got in the habit of doing his business in the upstairs shelf of his cage as well as the main box.the plastic layer between the piggie and the pellets keeps him from getting in direct touch with the dirty stuff giving me peace of mind:)

Don't go by just the item title description as I did. CHECK the SIZE ! Definitely NOT HAMSTER size ! Probably too big for most hamster cages, while I can get it into cage have to take cage apart as door way too small so totally defeats the object of being able to take it out for daily clean ! Would think it too small for most cats & rabbit's butts as well

Good size for chinchillas

I wanted something a little smaller as my mini lop decided to use her bigger toilet as a bed! So this is ideal and with her been white her feet dont get staines from urine as my other one didnt have the grate cover
