These purple glass glitter tiles are beautiful. The color is just as expected, and the bright glitter gives each piece an almost 3D look. Although the backside is rough because the glitter is just painted on and coated over, the shapes have smooth sides. The tiles are really beautiful, and although they have some weight to them, they seem to work well on glass, wood and ceramic.The only thing I don't love is the crumbly white stuff on the sides of many of the pieces. It seems to be leftover crud from the white coating on the back, that keeps the glitter in place. Otherwise, I'm happy with this product, and I wish there was a variety pack so I could actually afford to try some of the different colors. I believe this would be smart on the company's part as well- customers can figure out which colors they like best, and having the physical tiles will entice us to get more. Win-Win situation! I honestly don't need this many mosaic tiles. I wish they came in smaller, cheaper sample sizes.

Perfect for my project. It is glass. It's clear glass that was painted on the back to get the color and glitter to show through. The pieces come in different sizes. Very happy with the product.
