Used this on a touring holiday around the Scottish Highland's. Very effective. Even though I had a wind proof burner, this heat shield help to focus the flame up onto the kettle and got the heat into it much more efficiently. It's solid and well made and most importantly it's dead simple to fold up and put away when you've finished. It even comes with a little sleeve to keep it in. I would say it is just about right weight wise, not too heavy, but not so light that it's going to blow away (kind of defeating it's purpose if it did). Have to say I didn't think I would need this, but in blustery windy conditions I could tell a lot of the heat from my burner was going straight up into the sky so in the end I was very glad I had this in my kit!

Great product just be careful of the edges as they may be sharp from where it was cut. Keeps the wind off great and radiates the heat around the centre. Feels sturdy and should last great product!

Works ok in normal conditions, but beware, it will blow away in a stronger side wind.

Helps save fuel, made a real difference when camping in windy conditions. Very easy to transport.

This has been a god send. It works really well to shield the flame from the wind. It's light so doesn't take up much weight. It comes in a little bag which helps to protect everything from it's edges when everything is stuffed in a rucksack. I thought about buying this for quite a while but didn't want to end up with too much stuff weighing me down. However, it's become an essential bit of kit and saves on both gas and frustration. I thoroughly recommend.

It is light weight compact and will be great at reflecting the heat or stopping the wind. I would have given the product 5 stars but unfortunately it arrived full of scratches and grease from the manufacturing process which was unpleasant to touch I had to use some alcohol to try and clean it which got rid of the grease and oily residue but onviously not the scratches. Since it is only a wind gaurd I'm not too bothered about the scratches as it will more then likely get scratched while using. But it certainly should not arrive in that condition. It should have been cleaned and protected with that sticky plastic that protects metal when new. Im disapointed with the condition which it arrived in but should do the job its intended for.

Used this first time a few weeks ago when out camping to drum up my dinner as there was a bit of wind. Will definitely help make your food faster and saves gas so that's a plus. Just try use it on grass as can be a bit flimsy on concrete i learned the hard way as it fell over but no biggie. Also don't have it too close to your stove as the heat will definitely melt it which isn't the best but common sense guys come on lol
