JustIngredients Essentials Gotu Kola 500 g

Arrived quick and packed decent enough. I'd read about the health benefits and brain invigoration supposedly provided by gotu kola and was intrigued.... I ordered and waited with baited breath!! (I was there two days) When it arrived I decided I needed to be super focused for the next couple of hours (I was trying my hardest not to step on the carpet... it had conveniently turned to lava) I hastily whacked a few good spoonfuls in a filter and filled my cup with hot water. Nice taste was surprised by this! Now I wouldn't say I felt focused but I'd say clear headed, could be my leaping and struggling to make it across the living room alive ..maybe the tea! You decide! All was good until a few hours after and I realised that the next part of my day (taking out the rubbish) required a hefty dose of concentration and so bish, bash, bosh another cup of brain juice was available for my drinking pleasure... again all good! A really unexpected fresh mildly sweet and herby flavour and possibly a refreshed head. This however was swiftly followed by a heavy head and then by a headache that couldn't be shifted even by really wishing it would go away! So I did what everyone does after buying something for the first time and using it without proper research... googled it. Turns out that over consumption of this tasty brain treat can leave you with headache... what a fool I was a few hours earlier gulping down the herbally goodness like there was no tomorrow! So take it easy and enjoy as it really is quite tasty but can give you a headache. If you over indulge.... your'e not going to turn into Stephen Hawking, you are just going to get a headache!

I gave 5 stars to the flavour because it is bitter and strong as I believe it should be. Not because it tastes lovely because it does not, so don‘t be fooled! It seems to work well for me though, I take it for concentration during an intense phase of study and I haven’t needed any coffee (which is unusual for me...) It’s very good.

This stuff is effective. Don’t mess about with tiny teaspoon amounts, use a good amount get a rich colour then you’ll find its benefits are wide reaching. A little salt plus a bit of fat or fruit sugar around the same time as a stronger brew can relieve any potential nausea. Does some interesting things to your body’s chemistry that seems to be of value

I never write reviews, however this product is the best product I have used maybe not in terms of giving you an memory of an elephant, but in terms of the taste, relaxation and calmness it brings. I have not had a dream on years, with this I have has a least one week. I will order again. However the basis massive so won't need to for a while.

Good as green tea I would say, though not as tasty. Will continue to evaluate.

Really good to remove liquids from the body!
