We didn't much care for most of the tones on this - we wound up going with the very first standard doorbell sound.I chose this one primarily because of how the others (very similar) had 50+ tones on it?!?! And you have to cycle through to get to the one you want (again, and if you miss it - again and again) - this was applicable on the other units as well.THIS however had some rather hilarious tones on it for a doorbell (including a Christmasy one! There's one's with birds chirping and ones that make you feel like you're in a scary carnival!) LOLBut was VERY easy to set up, and then picking the tone, we decided immediately the very first - standard doorbell tone was spot on.We have ALSO Tested this in the area of the flat where we have all our 'tech' (Wi-fi, router, all sorts)We put this on the OTHER side - and it still managed to receive from the transmitter (the actual doorbell)The adhesive on the backside of the doorbell - is very good - my husband has said if it does ever come down we'd definitely put this back up again. (So many people just chuck it if something like this fails - they don't give it a chance.. that's utter waste!)This does take 2 - AA batteries (not included).This also has the different modes - where you can put it on silent (if you have little ones napping for instance) - it has a flashing light that sets off.We've tested all the modes it has (also one for hearing and vision impaired (one where the light and sound goes off!)We just have it with the sound going off.The volume is nut HUGELY adjustable, but definitely can adjust it to some degree and really - VERY happy with this!!I don't see these as a long term solution, but as a renter - with a door - without a doorbell, Very happy!Plus the receiver (where the sound comes from) - is mobile. You can take it with you out on the balcony, in the garden, in the kitchen - so if you are expecting a delivery or company - and you're needing to tend to something - you can take the receiver with you.We are in a (let's say) Standard size 2 bedroom 1 bath flat. Very large kitchen and lounge. We have tested this in every room and at the farthest of points - as well as 'in and around' any tech/wi-fi - or otherwise - and it's done just fine.Very good price and very good product! :)

The 1byone Easy Chime Wireless Doorbell Door Chime is a terrific little doorbell unit. It is very simple to set up and use. Took me about five minutes after unpacking it from the box to have it up and running perfectly. Mind you I decided to use the double sided adhesive pad that was provided to attach the bell push to the outer door frame rather than drill new holes into the wooden door frame (why is it that the holes for attaching door bell pushes to door frames seem to vary in terms of how far apart they are?). I also decided to stick with the first of the 36 different chimes as it had a nice 'ding-dong' sound. There are three volume settings and I found the middle one was loud and clear enough to be heard anywhere in our house. You can also choose between having the unit 'chime', or having it 'flash' visually or having it both chime and flash!I selected this unit as the receiver (i.e. the chime unit) is very compact in size and can be either hung on a wall (screws and rawlpugs are provided) or it can be simply placed as a stand alone unit wherever is most convenient in your home (as long as it is within about 300 feet of the bell push!). It operates using 2 AA batteries (not supplied) in the chime unit and a single button battery (which is supplied) in the push button unit which means you are not dependent on having to use a wall socket to supply the power to the receiver.One possible minor inconvenience however is that the bell push does not light up in the dark until it is pushed ... so if you have a dark doorway some callers may have a little difficulty spotting it ... but once depressed the bell push has a nice blue glow.So, my initial impressions are very positive and I certainly recommend this 'stand alone, battery operated' bell push unit to anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive and simple to operate compact door bell unit.

I bought this item as the wiring of my previous doorbell seems to have broken either in the door frame or under the floorboards. Rather than dismantle half the house to replace the wired connection between switch and chime unit I chose to fit this wireless alarm instead. At only £10 or so it is excellent value for money.The hardest bit was drilling the wall at the side of the door to mount the push switch in a convenient position. Alert from that as soon as I fitted the provided lithium battery in the push switches and some AA batteries in the chime unit it immediately paired the two and worked perfectly. The chime unit has lots of tunes most of which sound a bit "cheap and tacky" but the first two are traditional doorbell sounds, the first is the usual "Ding Dong" and the second is a Westminster chime so we stuck with those. I have yet to see how long the batteries will last. Our front door is recessed and has a canopy over it so I am not sure how weatherproof the switch is as that is not really important where I have fitted it. The chime unit is free standing and can be placed anywhere you want in the house within range. If my wife is working in the garden she can even take the unit out with her so that she can hear it if anyone calls, - she would not be able to hear it if it was in the usual position near the front door, We normally keep the unit in our back room where we spend most of our time. Some friends who have called have said that they thought the bell wasn't working because when they pressed the switch outside they couldn't hear it ring, but of course we could in the back room. If the volume is right for us callers can't hear it and if it was loud enough to be heard outside it would be too loud in the room.

Installation trop facile. Bon produit, plusieurs mélodies vous trouverez forcément votre bonheur. Produit vraiment esthétique, ira très bien dans n'importe quel intérieur. Installée sur le palier de mon appartement, fonctionne très bien. Produit de qualité, et vraiment pas cher comparé aux prix dans mes magasins de bricolage

Ich habe zwei dieser Sets inzwischen seit gut drei Monaten installiert, wollte einfach abwarten was mit den Batterieverbrauch wird, davor hatte ich Angst. Heute kann ich berichten, dass die Bat. im Sender und Empfänger zuverlässig ihren Dienst tun. Bedenken hatte ich hauptsächlich mit der Knopfzelle im Sender, der ist unter völlig freien Himmel der Witterung ausgesetzt und so richtig dicht erschien mir das Gehäuse nicht, allerdings waren die Bedenken unbegründet. Klar so eine kleine Zelle ist nicht teuer, das Wechseln ist aber kein Vergnügen, das Gehäuse muss mit einen mitgelieferten Metallhebel bearbeitet werden um es zu öffnen, hat man es einmal gemacht geht das schon, braucht aber Geschick und Kraft, dass ist nicht schön gelöst.Sender und Empfänger stehen bei mir ca 20 m Luftlinie entfernt, dass funktioniert absolut zuverlässig und laut genug ist der Empfänger auch. Ich bin rundherum zufrieden, das lange Kabel am Haus und die Stromversorgung der früheren Klingelanlage entfallen. Ich habe es mal errechnet, der frühere Klingeltrafo (der ja permanent am Strom hängt) hat mehr Strom verbraucht als die derzeitigen Batterien kosten.
