Ares Foto® Step-Up Lens Adapter Ring for Filters, Made of CNC Machined Metal with Matte Black Electroplated Finish (67mm – 77mm)

I am of course suspicious of any piece of photographic equipment that only costs a few quid/bucks/euros. But these little converter rings are a case study in perfection. I tried all three of the ones i bought and the threads all work beautifully, even the super fine thread starts (which can often cause crossthreads) are perfect. Light, but sturdy, lovely engineering, very fairly priced… what’s not to love?Highly recommended.

This item allowed me to have only ONE ring rather than a set of step up - step down rings, many of which I would not need. It also meant that I only needed one ring rather from 67-77 mm rather than two rings 67-72 and then 72-77. With only one ring being needed I can leave it on my camera all the time and then attach my filters as and when I want to. Very neat. I don't know how many other direct ring settings they make where ethey replace the need to have multiple rings but it is well worth investigating.

The step up ring is well made and fits well, the threads are clean and accurate and screw on without any resistance or tight spots.Just one clarification, the description mentions it being brass, then aluminium, it is aluminium, the anodising is good, much better than a paint finish.

Works fine but getting the thread started is occasionally a challenge. Overall happy with purchase that functions aninymously as you would expect.

I have to say this was much better than I'd expected. Slim, well made and tight fitting on both the camera lens and filters used. It's the perfect solution to the varied diameters of camera lenses these days. Instead of buying filter sets of different diameters, use these step up adapters instead.Well impressed.

Thin and cheap feeling, same as you could pay £5 or less for. Despite the description saying "manufactured with brass" I didn't really expect it to be brass for £8, but it's no better than the cheapest rings. Not worth the extra.

A nice metal step-up ring for filters. It's a solid piece of equipment and good value for money. For the price you can't really go wrong to be honest.

I bought this to allow me to fit a 77mm Expodisc on to my 67 mm lenses.It works perfectly and appears to be of good quality.
