Works well with practice
Works well… definitely a knack to using. (You don’t need to squeeze as hard as you think). Then can easily tidy up the edges with sanding.Would I buy again… yes

Works well initially, but blade life is short if you have a lot of banding to trim
At first I was impressed, easy to use just place it over the edge(s) to be trimmed and squeeze together then slide along the panel. It cut well to start with.It uses multiple blades to do the initial trim and then a bevel cut to finish. But it doesn't always work and I found a lot of edges needed softened with manual sanding. The blade life is poor though (and I couldn't find replacement parts). I used this on 50 panels, that were only being banded on one edge. Around panel 20 I noticed I was starting to get tear out as the blades dulled.By panel 30 I was using this "one sided" basically not squeezing it together and lightly using the one edge to trim but not all the way down, then finishing with hand sanding.I think it's a good idea, poorly executed and the fact that the blades are accessible and screwed in but you can't get replacements is nutty. It does take a little hand strength to adequately squeeze the tool together so be aware of that if you have poor grip strength.

So easy to use
I had never used laminate edge banding, the trimmer is so easy to use. What I will say is, you need to use a very firm grip to get the best results, the spring is definitely not for weaklings. That said, moo complaints from me.

Not easy but good
This certainly makes a neat job of trimming the iron on edging and cuts it flush with the faces in one sweep, no worries about accidentally damaging the face laminate that comes with using a knife or plane. One comment is that the springs between the 2 halves are quite strong so you need a good firm grip to squeeze it down to 15mm board and pull at the same time, no doubt that practice will make perfect

Very effective
Normally I try to trim stick on laminate strips with knife but as on view decided on caution and bought one of these. Very effective

Not consistent cuts and marks surface
Interesting idea but failed execution:1) The two sides are just using simple mechanism which is supposed to keep them parallel but it does not. When you try to squeeze it harder to be sure they are parallel you start biting into the wood!2) To overcome it I started using only one side of it which really defeats its purpose3) On top of that it is made of black plastic which marked my white edge banding every single time which was hard to remove (not able to remove it completely at all)After doing several boards I got to a point that I started having some better results but:1) The reason I bought it was to do the job quickly and easily - it is not the case2) Even using one side of the tool only still leaves black marks (at least on white banding)I highly recommend NOT to buy this device - you are far better with a chisel or a utility blade knife or you might want to invest into a similar one sided aluminum version.
