Power Supply

Wasn't going to buy this due to the change of guitarist but Williams is excellent and this album is great. Plenty of riffing, less acoustic than normal, a really strong album

This is in my opinion Budgies last great album and their first decent effort since Bandoliar. I remember seeing Budgie when they came storming back with Big John Thomas on the lead. I must admit that their new ultra heavy style came as quite a shock after their previous albums. Gone were the subtle Tony Bourge guitar licks and they replaced by the new sledgehammer sound that personified Budgie for a couple of year. PS is a great album and the opening onslaught track, Forearm smash, is perfect with JT hammering away on slide. Forget the bonus tracks as they are virtually unplayable die to bad recording as it's the main album that matters. Sadly their new approach didn't last long and it was downhill all the way with the poor Nightflight and the lamentable farewell, Deliver us from evil. Lap up this slab heavy rock mayhem. It's hugely influenced the proper Acdc(Bonn Scott) but still carries that distinctive Budgie sound. Marvellous stuff

As with all Budgie albums, an excellent offerring featuring the late John Thomas on guitar who plays some blistering stuff throughout

Love it, takes me back and still sounds as good as ever especially Gunslinger.

Great sound. Great music. I would recommend this album.
