Large Red Stove Fire and Barbecue Gloves

So these are very cheap but they offer little to no heat protection. I tried to pick up a corn on the cob wrapped in foil and the heat went straight through the glove, something that doesn't happen with my other gloves. There is no way you can pick up coal, a grate, anything metal that is on a BBQ, or indeed ribs or corn on the cob. As such these are only useful as protection for gardening. If you want BBQ gloves then look elsewhere

On the whole the gloves work okay and they are sturdy. I have managed to pick up my bbq grill on a number of occasions without feeling any heat coming through.However, after using them yesterday to hold a metal tin that had been on the bbq grill, it didn’t take long for me to feel the heat coming through. I’d question whether the gloves will protect against higher heats.With their sturdiness comes a lack of general manoeuvrability, so they aren’t too good for grilling smaller items (say in between the thumb and index finger).

Really high quality gloves at an unbelievable price. Basically, you can do anything with these BBQ gloves, including picking up red hot coals off the ground for a few seconds. 4* only for being a bit short but hey, at this price!Excellent!

I cannot praise these gloves highly enough. They are tough, comfortable to wear and do the job they were made for at a very reasonable price. In addition they were delivered very promptly AND I love the colour!

With two log burners I was always burning my arm when things were up to temperature and I was adding more wood. These are great! Long enough to cover the at risk areas that you just catch and offer good protection

Not fit for purpose. Lacks heat resistance and compared to other brands I have purchased before these are not very good. Let’s hear through within a few seconds of holding anything hot. They are comfortable gloves and would be good for jobs that require low or minimal heat.

Brilliant for my coal fire , could put my gloved hand in touching hit coal and would not burn , so much easier than messing about with tongs highly recommended very inexpensive to

Great safety gloves. My second pair. The first pair have done sterling work and are now quite black where I put my hand in the fire to move logs about with impunity so thought I would get a "back up" pair
