One of my cats gets constipated periodically. After giving him laxatone everyday for about 5 or 6 days, I see a huge improvement. Then just a couple times a week. I keep the laxatone in the refrigerator, when I squeeze the tube, it comes out more like toothpaste, easier to give to the cat. I squeeze the tube of laxatone on my index finger, about the same amount if it was toothpaste on a toothbrush, 1/3 to 1/2 inch long. ( The tube says 1/2 teaspoon - 1 teaspoon). I tilt the head back, open the cat's mouth & place the laxatone on the roof of the mouth. Works great, no runny mess & my cat gets the treatment. I have a multi cat household & this gets the job done & quickly.
