Overview: Well made, durable ventilation cover. Disclaimer: I don’t know what I’m doing, I really don’t! This is the first ventilation cover I’ve installed. Hopefully if you don’t know what you’re doing either, then this review helps! I also bought this after the initial purchase I made was too big. A reminder to check the sizing - 100mm is the diameter of the insert that goes into the wall. Postage and Packaging: Nice and quick, but the packaging within the amazon box was a polythene bag. This is quickly becoming the norm where there is no commercial packaging included at all. First Impressions: The vent cover is a matt black and as such is not jet black to the eye. Its not grey, but certainly with the lack of shine it displays, then it is certainly not Jet black either. Other than that it seems well made and an appropriate standard. There is nothing else included in the package - no screws or Raul plugs. This isn’t an issue if you are replacing a current vent cover, and not much of an issue with a new install. Design: I’ve already covered the matt nature - and this is down to it being slight textured to the touch. Other than that, it has 3 horizontal slats, as opposed to the 4 that my previous one had. I suspect that the 3 will be slightly more resistant to airflow which may help in wind but other than that I don’t know what relevance it has. Figment and use: The screw holes for my old one were not quite in the same place, so new holes needed to be drilled and new rawl plugs used. Other than that, the holes on the cover allow a little latitude to move it for a precise fitting. Once installed, it pretty much stays there. The biggest negative I’ve read in previous reviews is that the slats move in the wind creating a clacking/banging noise. Its early days, and I suspect it is very dependant on individual houses. If this happens and it is enough to want to go to the effort to solve, I suspect sticking a small gel nub on the back of slats would stop it fine. Longevity: Its a cover. The previous one lasted for a good 14 years since the house was built. I suspect that this should last longer with no issues. However, if it does fail in a short period then as always I will update this review

I bought four of them as spares as they are cheap enough. I use them on the brickwork end of our tumble-dryer hose. I find that after three or four years in sunlight, the plastic does get brittle and can easily break. That's why I bought the number I did for spares.

Easy to install looks good and fresh from the old yellow stained one I removed. Thought the price was a little expensive as its not the best quality of plastic used in my opinion that is the only reason for the 4 stars

Good quality item. Didn't fit pipe in wall. Measured pipe carefully, ordered same size vent to replace damaged one. Didn't fit because of tiny difference in manufacturers. Wish all stuck to standard. Pipe in wall fits snug to brick. Vent needs to slot inside pipe not outside pipe as brick blocks it!

Prodotto che rispetta la descrizione, le lamelle sono leggere e anche con poco flusso d'aria si alzano. Io l'ho montato sulla facciata di casa, all'uscita dell'estrattore della cucina per evitare l'ingresso di correnti d'aria esterne. Funziona egregiamente.
