On the basis of the pictures posted by Atilla I thought this was a great buy but the other negative comments almost stopped me .
I don't do reviews but on this occasion I'll make an exceptionI wanted a rotisserie so I could cook chicken and gammon hocks at home instead of having to buy inferior ones in the supermarkets that sweat in the bag on the way home and are most often cremated rather than cooked. On the basis of the pictures posted by Atilla I thought this was a great buy but the other negative comments almost stopped me from buying it. I decided to take a gamble, after all it is only 40 odd quid!!!Absolutely agree that as it is there's no way it could cope as designed for anything bigger than a poussin, but, it really doesn't need modding although I salute the ingenuity of Denzil.Back to the pics from Atilla..... I looked again and noticed something odd...... in the pic of the perfect chicken and salad the bottom of the oven is spotless, but in the pic of the chicken without the salad the bottom of the oven is full of juices!!!!! and if cooked this way there's no way you could ever clean the base as there's no drip tray. So, that's a very dodgy review and I guess it is planted. So, my solution.... went to Sainsbury's and purchased a 1.3kg chicken for £3.50 and some disposable foil trays. Pic one shows the tray placed on the lowest shelf above the metal rack supplied with oven. Pic 2 is the chicken covered in a rosemary and garlic rub whilst cooking and the last pic is the end result after being cooked for 55 minutes ate 175 degrees. Best of all, the tray gets thrown away so no cleaning. I've since found a 9 inch square tray on Amazon for much less but if I weren't so lazy it would be easy to clean the tray and re-use it a few times. One point to note..... only use the rotisserie with the top elements, if you use the bottom elements with the foil tray if may catch fire.... not good!!!!Seriously, if you use this diddy oven with disposable trays you can create the most amazing home made rotisserie chicken, hocks and just about anything else you can chuck on a skewer. Will it last? time will tell, but by my reckoning, all it will take is a dozen successful chickens and the oven will have more than paid for itself. And btw, the grill is great as well, have done bacon and sausages which came out great so unless you need a great big oven and wanna pay a ton in electricity this really is a bargain you'll love if you simply go for disposable trays.

Quest 18l mini oven
I had to buy this mini oven as my main oven stopped working and needed something to tide me over until main oven gets fixed. I cooked a small chicken in it today which was lovely. Took that out to be able to put in Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes. Yorkshire puds were OK but potaotes not cooked at all, even after 40mins on 180. Bit disappointed. It's fine for very small items and for one person. Not used rotisserie yet. It is def mini ! But handy for emergencies .

It has flaws but is generally great.
I brought a medium whole chicken from Tesco and almost fell into depression trying to fit it into the rotisserie. I would strongly suggest keeping the string wrapped around the chicken and tucking the wings into it to stop them from rubbing onto the top burner. With the medium size chicken I had, I was restricted to using the bottom burner and rotisserie. The issue with that was it dried up the juices which dripped onto the foil between the chicken and the burner, causing it to smoke. It wasn't excessive but it overshadows the lovely smell of rotisserie chicken with the smell of ash.The end result was great; the chicken roasted well and tasted divine. It works and there are a variety of settings but the issue is that the rotisserie hooks on the inside are too high up. Had they been lowered slightly, a large chicken would fit in. Overall it's a good rotisserie and if you're willing deal with the above issues, then I recommend it. Its smaller than my microwave and is light as a feather (in comparison). It also makes a great spare oven.UPDATE- I used it for the second time today, I brought a small chicken from Sainsbury's that weighed 1.2kg and it was the perfect fit. It didnt rub against the burners and didnt make a mess. I was able to use the top burner and the chicken cooked beautifully. It was so crispy and juicy. So far I am very happy with my rotisserie!! It is worth every penny.

Fantastic addition to my kitchen, get one...
I own a Miele oven which has always been fantastic but requires a service so meanwhile I thought I’d buy a little oven to tide us over. Also thought it might come in handy as it’s smaller and therefore more economical for quick dishes when I’m in a hurry.Haven’t used the Miele since! This is amazing, can’t recommend highly enough!! Heats fast, cooks well. Rotisserie is great although you need a small chicken - had to take wings off the first I tried. The outside gets hot so ideal for heating plates and keeping other dishes warm. It can only cook one thing at a time but with a bit of organisation I can cook an entire roast dinner in this little baby - roast potatoes are fantastic because it gets very hot!Fantastic addition to my kitchen, get one...

No chicken tonight
I bought this because I wanted a rotisserie and the original picture on Amazon showed a chicken on the rotisserie bar (The new picture has since changed to 2 pies). I got excited last weekend as I wanted a rotisserie chicken, so I purchased a chicken from Tesco which cost me £4.00 and it did not fit in the oven, despite me removing the wings so I bought another chicken in a medium size (£3.00 as there were no smaller ones available) and stuck it on the spindle and when the metal bar turned, the chicken legs and wings still touched the top heating rods and still scraped over the metal tray on the bottom shelf where you are supposed to put the veg. So I did not bother with it and chucked both chickens in my normal oven. So unless I buy a chicken the size of a grapefruit, the rotisserie for cooking chicken is no good. I might as well have purchased just a normal mini cooker. I have attached the photo on the brochure showing a chicken. Also there are 3 slats in the cooker, one in the middle which is ok, one at the top which is too close to the heating elements so is no use as anything put on it burns and one slat at the bottom. I reckon this product advertising is a bit misleading.
