Good value, but weak / need steeping.
I'm going to have to agree with some of the reviews here.I purchased these for £11.59 (currently £13.99) and for either of those prices, these are a steal and incredible value for money. Good luck buying that amount of teabags for this price anywhere on the high-street, especially a named-brand like Typhoo (at least without ending up with a trolley-load of boxes). However, I must admit that these err on the weaker side of your standard British Brew. If you're someone wanting a very quick "dunk and go" style brew, these might be perfect for you, but for those of us wanting something more akin to a "builder's brew", these will require some patience, or at least some serious dunking and squeezing.Leaving the teabag in for anything less than 5 minutes, especially when adding milk, will result in... a cup of milky water, with an aftertaste of tea (seriously).I found that I had to leave the bag in at least 5 minutes, then (if I didn't forget about it), do some proper dunking with the bag and squeeze every drop of life out of it. Then I had a cup of tea that had some depth and flavour to it.Or, I forgot about it, went to make myself a brew, realised I half-made one 15 minutes ago and it was ready to go.It's going to depend on whether the savings outweigh the need to be patient.

Typhoo 1100 Teabags - To my taste, delicious and economical
I have always loved Typhoo tea, and have seldom departed from it. When I have, it was usually to try some of the more exotic ones. But I always return to Typhoo. Curiously I have found that the local supermarkets do stock it, but sometimes allow the Typhoo shelf to become empty; perhaps it is price competition from other brands or maybe it is demand-related, I don't know. I saw this offer in Amazon and on a whim, accepted it. It came promptly. First impressions were of a large, heavy sack of tea! Where was I going to put it all? I made two parcels in aluminum foil, to fit into two large biscuit tins in the garage. The remainder, which will be used first, is in two caddies and the bottom of the plastic sack in which it came. I am told tea can improve through a form of fermentation process during keeping, so it should get better and better! The rectangular tea bags themselves, come in pairs, joined by perforations which assist their separation. They are one-cup bags, so are a little smaller than the circular ones we are used to buying. I find them perfectly satisfactory for making, not just a cup, but a mug of tea. Delicious. I am delighted with this purchase and without having done the maths, believe that it is a very economical way of overcoming the curious negligence of the local supermarkets (in Warrington). It is always difficult to make a recommendation to other people on taste, so I can only speak for myself, but have been most pleased with this purchase, having consumed several weeks worth already. How thirsty writing this has made me...................

GREAT TEA BUT BE CAREFUL
i have purchased this tea 15 times in the past with out any problems, But the last purchase in april 2024 a lot of the tea bags are split along the sealed side or have little or no tea in them. there is a fault in manufacture ,i believe the batch no to be x001t15z6b and bag bar code no to be 5060123600346. awaiting reply from typhoo. stopped counting faulty tea bags at 176Update,before trying to ring customer services make a packed lunch, take out all of your kitchen draws to find the tea strainer you know is in there some where, and make a flask of tea from the tea leaves that are loose in the bag, then try to ring, you will be told your call will be delt with by the next operator, you will listen to music for 5 mins then be told NO ONE IS AVAILLABLE and the phone will go dead. tried 20+ times. tried to leave a message, no reply, and no way of emailing them, BAD TYPHOO!!!!!!! its enough to drive you to drink.
