E4 Error -FIXED-
Edit: Finally, received and installed the new controller and the error went away. Hiboy support sent a new controller and the error went away.Issue/solution: The scooter is showing an error code (E4) on the second day. I have emailed support and they says the controller needs to be replaced. They provided three options1 - Replace the whole scooter with a new one. I will need to return the broken one.* Might be the better choice and also easier one to do then replacing the controller.2 - Ship me the controller part and I will need to install it.* The installation is a LOT of work. It required slicing wire sleeve tubing and unscrewing. Sleeve tubing wasn't included so if you want to have them which you should because it will be better protected. You will have to buy them yourself. If so, get the marine level ones which is waterproofing. For heating the sleeve, you will also need a heat gun. So, if you are not handy, I would suggest just get the replacement or a refund instead.3 - Refund the scooter. I will need to ship back the scooter.I went with option 2 - replacing the controller. I didn't feel like returning the whole scooter since overall the scooter is a good scooter (if it works). I also thought changing the part will be a faster and easier process to get the scooter to work again. If I was told earlier that changing the part will take this much time and work, I would have went with the other options. The worst part is waiting, but guess not hiboy fault. Their support team is in Asia which is 8hrs difference. So, communication usually take a day or two through email. It took over a week for the part to arrived.Again, getting a whole scooter replacement or refund might be a better option than replacing the controller yourself. With no error now, I can once again enjoy riding the scooter.

I would buy it again!
The only negative about my KS4 Pro is I do not believe I will get 25 mile range on my battery. More like 19-20 mile range. I’m 5ft 4in 155lbs I commute 8 miles round trip on flat street terrain and I go through 2+ bars a round trip. With that being said I WOULD buy this scooter again. The matte black color is slick, construction is sturdy, thicker handlebar stem gives me a more confident ride, lights under the foot board is everything for night riding, smooth brakes, I get 19 mph and the 10” solid tires ride better than what I expected based off my last smaller e scooter. It’s about 5 lbs heavier then my last scooter but the upgrades are worth it to me.

Bought 3 and love them all.
Bought 3 of these for my family for Christmas and seven months later, I'm about to buy another. These are our 1st scooters we own, but we have rented a few prior to purchasing these. I'm heavier than the recommended weight at 6'-3" around 260 lb. but I seem to get around just fine although my sons accelerate faster than me and the battery goes a little faster on mine too. Still, I'm happy that I don't slow the group down at all. They all reach the 20 mph at the top speed including mine. The frame seems very sturdy too. I am curious to ride a scooter that had air filled tires to compare. These are solid and the ride is pretty rough. My wife and I feel tired after the ride and legs get sore, but we are also in our late 50's. lolThese scooters are very rigid too and don't have a lot of spring to them so you have to pay attention to the surface you are riding on and avoid rough roads. Don't expect to pop the front to go over a curb or such.I added a bike bottle holder but the scooter rides rough enough that the bottle bounces out of the holder. I read reviews about other riders getting tons of flats with the air-filled tires so my best guess is ours being solid but rougher is the tradeoff. One of our scooters has an occasional rubbing noise but we haven't experienced any other problems. We bought the seats, and our weight would make them inch down, but I simply cut a small piece of PVC pipe and slide it into the seat tube to prevent it from falling. We ride all around our town and really enjoy our adventures. I thought about buying me something with more power but after reading up on what people say about the longevity of an electric scooter being only a few years, I decided its probably not ideal for me to spend twice as much on something that will only last a few years. I would very much recommend these to families but not to the racecar stunt drivers out there. We probably average riding these 3 times a week going about 6 miles each trip. So far thumbs up!

Speedy, responsive, and fun
It’s now May 17 and I have had the scooter a few months. I’ve taken it on paved trails, sidewalks, roads, and single track trails. It doesn’t handle loose dirt or rocky trails, but it can handle a dirt walking path ok. It shines on hard surfaces. The charge lasts a long time, the responsiveness hasn’t decreased, and the brakes still grip. I haven’t noticed much wear on the tires. My e-vehicle finally arrived, and I like to keep this scooter on hand for away from home charging. It’s small and lightweight enough to get it in and out of the car for a quick ride in new areas. I just got back from a weekend in Las Vegas. I was too close to a convenience store to lose my parking spot, but too far to walk. Perfect distance to scoot! This was very well packed. Nothing was loose in the box, the tools and screws were with the instruction manual. Assembly was six short screws that were tightened with the included Allen wrench. Other sizes were included and I checked everything to ensure all screw were tight. App download was easy on Apple.Connection via the app was easy. I had to create an account, log in, enable Bluetooth, and hold my phone close to the scooter. It connected and the Bluetooth logo switched from red to blue. It then showed mileage, remaining power, riding time, and mode. I could switch the lights on or off, lock the scooter, change the speed mode, and switch from kmh to mph.The first ride was quick and responsive. The throttle is reactive but not too touchy. I don’t feel like I have to be careful not to smash it down. It does take off and accelerate with ease. On a flat, smooth street I got it up to the max speed quickly. I weigh 145 lbs and I got it over 20 mph. Even though there is only one disc brake, it stops on a dime. It’s possible to lock the rear tire up, but I didn’t feel like I was loosing control.I have a Onewheel XR and pint X. I also have a Hiboy Titan Pro Max. This will keep up with all of those. The Titan will go faster and has suspension, but it’s a lot heavier. The KS4 is easy to fold, only takes one quick disconnect to flip the handlebars down. It’s relatively light, has a built in handlebar holder, and transports easily. Without a suspension it’s not the smoothest ride, but for paved trails it’s loads of fun.I’ve ridden about thirty miles so far. It easily holds at 18 mph for long periods. The battery is long lasting. It’s easy to get in and out of my car. The latch that holds the handlebars down holds well and makes lifting a breeze. The headlight is great being mounted high. I can see and be easily seen. Summer has arrived in the desert, so night riding is now the way to go. I really like this scooter.

Excellent range and fun too
500 watts power is plenty, the battery capacity gets me around a long time, and the scooter is well built. A win.
