Levi's Boys' 511 Slim Fit Performance Jeans

True to size and good fit

They fit beautifully. I love the wash and the adjustable waist. I will definitely repurchase.

I am 5’3”, 110 lbs. and the size 16 in these boys’ Levi’s fit perfectly. I paid $21.99 for these, as opposed to $100 plus for Levi’s straight leg women’s jeans! I chose the “Grunge”color, a slightly worn-in black DENIM, which is what I wanted. They look and feel like REAL black denim jeans, as opposed to the deep black twill fabric that most women’s black jeans are made of these days. While I like the deep black twill “jeans”(slacks!) for dressier outfits, they attract animal hair like crazy, and with 5 cats and 2 dogs, I have to store them inside out and literally wait until I’m ready to walk out the door to put them on, or they’ll be covered with pet hair in five minutes. These barely attract animal hair, like the rest of my actual denim jeans. One other clever feature is two buttons on the inside of the waistband that allow you to make the waist slightly smaller or bigger at any time (during that time of the month, after a big meal, etc.). I’m guessing that’s bc teenage boys grow so fast. The inside label says that they are 28”Waist x 30”Length, size 16 in Levi’s boys jeans. I wear 26x30 or 27x30 in women’s Levi’s, but the corresponding size in boys’ is 14, which were skin tight on me in the hips and thighs. I don’t like skin tight jeans. So, we gals need to go up a size in boys’ Levi’s to accommodate our curves. Levi’s for $21.99 rather than $100?!? Treasures!

Great quality kids jeans. My son is tall and slim so I really appreciate the adjustable waistband on these pants! They're the typical good durable quality that you wpuld expect from Levi's brand jeans. They hold up well for active kids. The material isn't overly thin and I love the variety of color and size options available.

Finally a pair of jeans the fit my son! My son is average height, but his he has a tiny waist. Cat and Jack jeans (with the ties) were the only jeans that worked for him as a Toddler. Once we moved to up to boys jeans and sized up, even the jeans with the ties that fit him lengthwise were huge on his waist and did not work. He was wearing jeans that were too short and looked silly. These jeans have that band on the inside of the waist with buttons that totally works. Love these!

Fit great look good quality product and stylish

This review is for the Levi Boys 511 Slim Jean, specifically in the color Bacano, which is one of the darker washes available at the time of this review in 2016. I have purchased SEVEN pairs of these jeans. I'm short and I can fit into size 18 boys jeans, so I save a little bit of money purchasing the boys sizes. It's hard to find a dark rinse that I like, so I have bought multiples with my first order being placed March 16, 2014. The good: The rinse/color is terrific out of the package. The fit is a reasonable every day jean.. not skinny fit and not loose. The bad: this specific rinse sheds dye ALL OVER. My seat at work has a blue tinge to it and with a new pair I find myself washing my hands by the end of the day to get rid of the dye. In my opinion this rinse also fades quickly. I have taken to washing them every couple of weeks (I'm not a kid playing in the dirt) in order to keep them dark longer. Definitely should not expect to wash these with any light fabrics. Obviously as a 'con' this is not bad enough for me to stop purchasing them as I have gone through several pairs in the last 2.5 years. I did recently find a similar dark wash at Gap that I'm trying out to see if they fade less. The picture I have included shows the overall length can vary from order to order. I don't have a definite time frame but I would estimate the faded pair, which are the same Bacano rinse, to be 12+ months old. The dark pair is new and not washed. Size 18 is 29x29 on the tag, true to width and an overall length of approximately 40" The price for these jeans seems to fluctuate between $23 and $28 on Amazon, with a historical low of $18.43, and the lowest price in 2016 having been around $21. They are a solid value to have on hand for events where you want to wear (or have your child wear! ha!) decent looking dark colored jeans, just beware of the tendency to shed dye.. so don't go sitting on some expensive white sofa.
